Sweetie is in bake mode today.... Bread, chocolate cake, and corn bread... For a far north "jack pine savage" she makes as good a corn bread as I've ever had anywhere in North America....eh...
Also a ham in the counter top roaster oven out of the freezer we want to get empty..

My wife cooked a 14 pound pork butt yesterday, enough said.
It's now a 12 pound roast.
I'd guess about 10.5 pounds now.

Last night I had a steak baked in my cast iron skillet and a baked potato. Tonight is cheesy broccoli soup with homemade sour dough bread. Please send homemade sourdough bread. It’s like an emergency. |

Lots of left over Sauerkraut.....I made a big batch last year.
Reuben Pasta.
I bought a bunch of canned corned beef, had to test it.
Big skillet.
corned beef, sauerkraut, pasta, brown onions and shredded swiss cheese.,
Not half bad.

Mashed potatoes and hamburger gravy
Instant mashed potatoes (sorry - times are tough)
1 lb burger, browned
1/4 diced onion
pinch of salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
water for desired consistency that can simmer for a little while and blend flavors
salt/pepper/spices to taste
Serve

One of our new-found favorites. Homestyle Pork and Vegetable Stew here tonight. I don't know why I never previously thought there were any stews out there other than beef. The pork stew is awesome!
My husband has to go in for work tomorrow - he will be heating some up in the early AM and taking it in his trusty thermos for his lunch.

ETA - As I was rereading through this thread and then my own post - it struck me once again that mentioning anything in regards to eating pork just seems so wrong when I glance over at my avatar.

Jim polish sausage ...nothing else...he does not believe one should eat any vegetables unless on a sandwich or NON cream corn or FRENCH GREEN beens. Or in stew and soup
Me cereal... Kellogg #strawberries.
Been cleaning the floor so I forgot to / really honestly wasn't hungry and went lazy!

I am fine I have always been and easy keeper since adulthood. As a child I ate more that I do now. Thank for caring as a sudden lack of an appetite could very well be a warning of an issue.
