woolybear, thank you for the update. Prayers continue and hoping no ventilator is a sign of more good things to come.

Got an update last night...He is on 70% O2 mask and holding his own. Still being treated for clots in legs and lungs. My friend is very grateful for the prayers and believes they are helping. A little info about my friend. I met her over 30 years ago when I started work as an RN in a small hospital ICU/CCU. She was the head nurse. From there she went to hospitals in Atlanta Ga., Laredo? Tx., South Carolina and finished out her career in Tenn. She had worked her way up the ladder to be in charge of critical ICU's (head honcho level) in large hospitals and retired after 30+ years working. When she first told me of this man getting covid we both knew that this was very, very bad.

Correction to the previous update. He was not on 1.5L O2 but 15 liters. Last nights update...the power of prayers is AMAZING He was discharged from the hospital last night. Going home on 10L of O2. Unbelievable that 5 days ago the docs wanted to put him on a vent. He is on Xeralto for the blood clots, but the drs don't see anymore evidence of clots. He had been given an experimental drug in his early hospital stay, I asked my friend if she might be able to find out what the drug is for my own curiosity.

Last nights update...He has some decreased breath sounds in both bases, the night before decreased sounds was just his right lower lobe. My friend will keep a close watch on him to make sure he doesn't get any worse. The research drug starts with a "T" my friend will try and find out what it is.
