Thread drift: My dad had a charter boat on lake Michigan for years. He was good at it, probably one of the best sport fishermen of the time. He also didn't take any S**t from anyone. One fellow liked to stir the turd with dad. Shortie was bald, and never wore a hat. Dad told him to keep talking smart, "because some day a sea gull is going to crap on your bald head." About two years later, shortie came over to inspect our daily take. You guessed it, as the two were bantering, a sea gull laid a nice wet one on shorties head. Dad about fell over in laughter.
Anyhow, I have seen eagles pick fish out of the river. It's not all that uncommon for you to see them drop one. I have also seen them struggling to fly or beginning to loose grip and drop the fish in the tree top. They will fly back and find it in the tree and eat it.

Hmmm, this story reminds me of a Paul Harvey broadcast when he described a man at a rest stop out walking his wife's toy poodle when a hawk came down and snatched it up. He was quoted as saying "Go, go, go". I miss Paul Harvey. He was amazing skilled at his use of the pause.

That’s not only bizarre, but what are the chances of that happening, 🙄 I probably would have had a heart attack!
