What they are doing now is talking tough knowing nothing they pass will clear the Senate, much less get signed by the WH. This is their oldest trick. They talk big when they have no power, but when they have power they do the opposite of what they promised.

I think there are a few that are patriots and want the best for this country, but most of the republican congress is happy being able to complain, pass laws and regulations that they know full well are nothing but kabuki theater. The longer they stay in office the higher their eventual pensions are, and in the meantime they can trade stock with insider information getting rich.

There's a certain narcissistic, possibly sociopathic personality that is drawn to public office due to their need for acclimation and power. Lying is just the minor price they pay, but feel no sting. Depending on the bent of their districts/states they could easily run as the other party. Does anyone think Liz Cheney or her cohort Adam Kinzinger would have a problem running as democrats?

Long, long gone are the days the Founders envisioned of citizen legislators who volunteered to serve, then went home to their farms and businesses. It's so sad the Founders couldn't envision career politicians, and the corruption they bring with them.

There will indeed come a great reset, just not the one the WEF wants.

Most of the Republicans that have had leadership powers in the house or senate are Rinos, that is to say controlled opposition, Democrats and Republicans are really the uniparty, two sides of the same coin. They are there to give the illusion that there is a choice. They fight vehemently in congress then afterward fly to Epstein Island together to party. Out of 435 members there are probably less than 10 decent ones. (They should remember the story of Sodom and Gomorrah if there are less than ten.)

The multinational corporations, military contractors and Blackrock will not accept their Republican Senate failure; they’ve paid good money for the UniParty to deliver.

The UniParty Republicans trying to finance Ukraine are blaming Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson for not accepting the border security justification in exchange for the Zelenskyy payments. There is much anger and frustration as these traditional processes have always worked before.

Suddenly, people have become wise to the GOP ruse of the military as a justification for self-enriching spending bills, and apparently the K-Street lobbyists are not amused with this great awakening.

WASHINGTON – GOP infighting and indecision is already threatening to disintegrate the border deal, even before Senate negotiators release the long-awaited bill text.

As senators returned for a critical two-week sprint in D.C. before a lengthy recess, Republicans are starting to doubt whether the agreement — which would be tied to billions in foreign aid — can pass their chamber. GOP leaders first set out to find a compromise that could win a majority of Republican senators over, but that’s only grown more challenging as conservatives, Speaker Mike Johnson and former President Donald Trump hammer the deal.

Asked if the agreement appears to be on a path toward passing the Senate, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) replied: “It certainly doesn’t seem like it.”

Those Senators and Representatives know if they vote to keep the crimalien flow going they'll be hard pressed to fight off a primary challenge. The voters don't care what Mitch and Chucky promised the donors and lobbyists, they're fed up with millions of potential terrorists flooding in.

The main objective of a politician is getting reelected, and this monstrosity of a bill would be the poison pill for their campaigns. Between the anti-immigration sentiment and the split on funding other people's wars, there's little support for a politician that shows themselves to be nothing more than a stooge.

BREAKING: Colorado Representative Ken Buck Resigns From Congress

Colorado representative Ken Buck announced Tuesday that he will resign from Congress next week rather than complete his current term.


Buck, a member of the Freedom Caucus, announced his intent to retire from Congress in November. He doesn't seem to have given anyone a heads-up about his plans.



Speaking to reporters shortly after the news broke, Johnson suggested he did not get a heads-up from Buck.



"I was surprised by Ken’s announcement. I’m looking forward to talking with him about that," the speaker said.



Other GOP colleagues said they were taken aback by Buck's decision. “Very surprising, very disturbing, very alarming, very concerning," said Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas.



His departure reduces the House GOP majority to 218-213, meaning that Speaker Johnson has a total of two votes he can lose before depending upon the kindness of Hakeem Jeffries to pass legislation.

Different states have different rules on what to do in their election laws. Colorado will hold a special election to fill the seat in June.

Dick Wadhams, a past Colorado GOP chair, said Buck’s resignation was unprecedented in recent state political history. The last time Colorado voters participated in a special congressional election, he said, was after the 1982 death of Jack Swigert, the Apollo astronaut who died shortly after winning election to Congress.

The 4th Congressional District stretches across eastern Colorado, from the Wyoming border south to the Oklahoma panhandle, and includes Douglas County in metro Denver. The district is the most Republican-leaning in the state, giving the winner of the June primary — whether or not that person wins the special election — a huge advantage in November.

In the 4th District, several Democrats also are running, and their primary also is on June 25.

For the special election race, the Democratic and Republican parties will convene vacancy committees in the coming weeks to nominate candidates to replace Buck for the remainder of his term. That could put each nomination in the hands of a few dozen party faithful. Unaffiliated candidates would be able to petition onto the ballot.

Voters in the district would then choose Buck’s short-term replacement in a separate ballot question from the party primary races. If Boebert were to win the special election, she’d have to step down from her 3rd District seat early.

Wadhams said he didn’t think Buck’s resignation — or the coming special election — would benefit any one candidate. But whoever voters selected to serve as the Republican candidate in the special election would get a boost, he said, especially in a crowded primary in which candidates are jockeying to bolster their name recognition.

Polis said in a statement that he chose to hold the elections on the same day to minimize taxpayer costs, though the timing of Buck’s selected resignation date sets up a narrow window around the June primary in which the special election could be scheduled under state law, according to the governor’s office. Polis also thanked Buck for his service.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) passed a massive $1.2 trillion government funding plan despite the objections of the majority of House Republicans, violating the Hastert Rule and crossing the Rubicon into dangerous territory for the future of his speakership.

House Republicans enacted the longstanding rule to prohibit Republican Speakers from colluding with Democrats to pass legislation. But Johnson sent the bill to the Senate despite the objections of 112 Republican colleagues, with only 101 Republican votes in favor, although Johnson and his leadership team applied significant pressure.

Johnson also broke a House rule intended to give lawmakers time to review legislation before a vote. The 1,000-plus page spending bill was presented to members before 3:00 a.m. Eastern on Thursday morning, less than 36 hours before the vote.

The bill now goes to the Senate, which is working to clear hurdles and enable the bill to pass as soon as today. A partial government shutdown would technically begin Saturday morning after midnight, although no significant effects would be felt until Monday.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) filed a motion to vacate the chair in the moments leading up to the vote in anticipation of Johnson possibly violating the Hastert Rule and objections over the broader process, policies, and spending inside the unpopular bill. That motion is not privileged and therefore does not require the House to immediately address it. However, Greene could change the motion to privileged in the future.
