I think CNN people have got their wires crossed... The headlines are referring to 'bridge workers saving lives' but it is being used to describe the people on the bridge of the ship, and also the people that work AT the bridge quick actions and shutting things down so no further traffic crossed. CON is specifically referring to the missing men, as if they'd know anything about those final moments. And I'll save you the trouble of watching this - it makes no mention of them actually saving lives, just lists their names. Tracey Mackin @mackintracey1 GATEWAY TO BALTIMORE PORT: The bridge leads to the Port of Baltimore the deepest harbor in Maryland's Chesapeake Bay. It is the busiest U.S. port for car shipments, handling more than 750,000 vehicles in 2023, according to official data. It is also the largest U.S. port by volume for handling farm and construction machinery, as well as agricultural products, and a cruise terminal. Baltimore bridge collapse will have ‘ripple effect’ on economy and global supply chain. It is a major traffic and transportation hub for the U.S. East Coast and the entry point to the Port of Baltimore. The entire span of the bridge collapsed. Collateral damage will be astronomical. Why didn’t Biden take questions? God Bless those who are missing 🙏 🙏🙏 Sounds to me like we should be building the things we need on our own soil. This 'global economy' is too fragile, and unpredictable. We need to bring manufacturing back home. ALL of it. Yup, & we'll use DEI...

I got no real problem with legal immigration but another way to look at this is if they never came in the first place, they'd likely still be alive.................... bd I never had a problem with (legal) immigration until the last few years, now I have a different perspective. Since we’ll likely never rid ourselves of all the illegals, I’m at the point I’d like to see legal immigration cut in half for about the next decade, and make it even tougher to get in. I pray that WHEN Trump gets in the border will be shut! No one comes across except tourists-are there any of those anymore? And supply people. And the deportation begins...that will take YEARS! Cries of: "Poor people seeing asylum!!" Uh huh, got waaay too many of those & the rest fouled it up for anyone in the future.

And the hits just keep on coming! I can envision how they'd cut sections of the bridge off the ship, then using cranes keep those sections from dropping down and damaging the pipeline while tug boats pulled the ship away. That's going to take a long time cutting all that steel just where it needs to be cut. At least the salvage/demolition divers will be getting some healthy paychecks.

Attachment DeletedIf this wasn't sabotage, then the alternative is that we no longer have people working or in charge that have the intelligence and aptitude to be able to engineer, build or maintain our infrastructure.

Aren't they dredging and opening up another channel for ship traffic?

Aren't they dredging and opening up another channel for ship traffic? I think the plan is to have the harbor completely clear by the end of the month, but I think they opened a shipping lane earlier this week.

markbisone.substack.com/p/a-bridge-too-farWARNING: LANGUAGE FURTHER IN THE ARTICLE This is a good article with good info and analysis. A Bridge Too Far O say, why can't you see? Hey, everybody! So you remember last February, when a train loaded with 100,000 gallons of toxic chemicals derailed and burned for days? Remember how the Ohio governor ordered the still intact portions of the train to be blown up with shape charges, sending up an mushroom cloud of ominous black smoke? Remember how the EPA just kind of yawned about it all? Remember the bizarre, contradictory and incompetent evacuation orders? The massive fish kills in the weeks to follow? All those woodland creatures staggering about residential hoods in a sickly daze? The reports of strange rashes and lingering chemical smells? The spikes in cancer rates? Remember? Ooh, and remember how the bold investigative journalists of our noble Fourth Estate doggedly pursued this crazy story, then and now? How they exposed evidence that the derailment and the government’s response sparked off a trio of major biomedical, ecological and agricultural crises, which persist to this day? Hahaha! Me neither. Just pulling your leg. Oh, and you remember Lahaina, Hawaii: that paradise of insanely valuable beachfront property, rudely occupied by a bunch of pesky natives, blue collar honkies and other useless eaters? Remember how that massive and unprecedented firestorm just whipped up out of nowhere, because-climate-change-and-grass-and-stuff? And remember the multitude of eyewitnesses who claimed their vehicles were forced to turn back towards the inferno, by armed men who barricaded major routes of egress? And do you remember how the water needed to fight those flames was held up in committee by a slimy bureaucrat, who was basically William Atherton’s villain from Ghostbusters in ESG form? more at link
