My DH did well today with the endoscopy. The doctor stretched his throat a lot so he is very sore but he has mostly slept since we got home. He had anesthesia and it took him a while to finally come out of it. I drove him home. The doctor said he was very pleased not to find a blockage. He removed one polyp and did 9 biopsies. He thinks they will all be ok but sent it all to the lab. He has his next procedure at the imaging center next week. The doctor said he needs to have it because it will show some things that today's procedure doesn't. I feel very good at the optimism of the doctor.

Friends, I need your prayers. My daughter has had her yrly mammogram, an ultrasound, and a needle biopsy yesterday. Next is a tissue biopsy. She is petrified and I am too. I cannot tell my friends or other family members. Her brothers know it and that is all. I am so thankful to have you prayer warriors here. I was praying for her off and on all night and hubby says he was awake praying and worrying about her most of the night.♥♥♥

Father in heaven, I ask that You be with Peach and her family as her daughter goes through this uncertain time. Give them Your peace and strength, and hold them in Your loving arms. Amen

Thank you so much. It seems surreal but I do believe in prayers. The doctor says he does not know what it is but it was not there last yr on her mammogram. Right now is the busiest time of the year for breast biopsies so the hospital cannot tell her yet when it is going to be scheduled. They will give her 24 hrs notice. The waiting is going to be so hard.

gapeach , I remember my wife several years ago having 'abnormal' mammograms, and she'd be told to come back for another. Then they'd turn out fine, but the next year it was the same thing. She was talking about it to some other women in her office, and they'd had the same thing happen to them. The consensus was the outfit running the screening was a money maker, at the expense and anxiety of the women. I'm not saying your daughter might not have a problem, I'm just saying that each procedure makes the screening company and hospital/lab money. Take this with a grain of salt, but it's not beyond belief these companies have moved on to biopsies as an additional revenue source. If my wife hadn't been used as an ATM, and many others in her office, I wouldn't be so suspicious, but they were all put through days/weeks of fear just for a few extra bucks.

gapeach, I am fighting with my Mom's doctor to get scans post mastectomy, chemo and radiation. I pray that your daughter has an easier time of it. I have never had a mammogram. I am almost 39, apparently I needed a scan at 35?

motherhen, they need a baseline mammogram to compare with each year. I am not sure at what age you should start having mammos. I hope you can get your Mom's doctor to get the scans.

My daughter will have the tissue biopsy at 7:30 am tomorrow morning at the hospital. I don't know how long it will take to find out what the place is. I hope that we will know very soon tomorrow. Prayers are appreciated for all of us. Christy is the one on the ground in the picture with her arm around her Daddy's neck.
