I am sick up to my eyebrows with all this. When we start calling everyone a terrorist / every action terrorism; when the REAL thing creeps up your back side you won't be about to find your arce w/ both hands in your back pockets because you are so desensititzed because EVERYONE according to the media is a 'terrorist'. (if I shook my head any harder my brains would fly out) Oy Vey. Not everyone gets called a terrorist, some are called "homegrown radical", "radicalized youth", or someone who caused "workplace violence". They have to be careful as to who they insult.

Interesting family background of
the Colorado Springs shooter
American Thinker, by Rosslyn Smith November 29, 2015 Many outlets have been saying the Colorado Springs shooter was from Western North Carolina, where I live. Since I have been active in the local prolife community, this bothered me. So I did a little snooping on-line. I found that Dear does own property in Buncombe County (Asheville) though he lists his address on the property records for both parcels as South Carolina. The properties are low end. He also appears to have a residence in unincorporated Hartsel, Colorado and was registered to vote there as an unaffiliated voter. I'd say that makes him a Colorado resident. He never registered to vote in North Carolina. Since Dear doesn't seem to have held a regular job, one has to wonder how he paid his bills. Property taxes are probably low on those two parcels, but it still takes ready cash. The family is from South Carolina. I have to wonder if the tax bills go to a relative or trustee there. From a professional point of view, he seems to me like the type of person whose inheritance might be put in a spendthrift trust. And I do suspect there might be some money in his family. One report says Dear listed his occupation as a "self employed art dealer." That's not usually an occupation for someone with middle or working class roots. His full name is actually Robert Lewis Dear, Jr. His namesake was a WWII veteran and Citadel graduate who was employed by Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company for 40 years. During that time the family may have relocated for business more than once, as senior's obituary noted he lived in Florida, Kentucky and Missouri before he returned to his native South Carolina for the last 15 years of his life. Senior was a joiner -- a member of the Honorary Order of Kentucky Colonels and the Citadel Brigadiers Club. Poor people don't tend to be invited into such beneficial organizations. The well-to-do are also more likely to clam up whenever a relative brings disgrace to the family name. So far I have not heard a peep from the extended family and all the names were in the easy to find obituary. Unlike his sire, Dear Jr. is said to be a loner. He had no on-line presence anyone has found. He lived in Walterboro, SC for several years, where he was far from unknown to the local authorities because of a variety of incidents -- complaints of domestic violence, animal abuse, peeping tom. From those reports he seems to be a bit of a paranoid crank, quick to take offense at a neighbors while oblivious to when he gave offense. But he was still middle class enough to call the police to assist him from time to time. Once in SC he claimed his motorcycle was damaged by a neighbor. Another time he called in the law in a dispute with a tenant over installment payments on a truck she had purchased from him and then claimed it had disappeared when he tried to repossess it. The appliances also disappeared when the tenant moved out of the place she had rented from him. The lack of job information for a man his age plus these reports that indicate poor judgment/erratic behavior fits the pattern of a child of the upper middle class who may inherit via a spendthrift trust. Not a typical RW white Conservative terrorist like Liberals love to point out who are the enemies of the United States. Could it some schizophrenia symptoms or manic depressive going on?

But the liberal argument that Islamic terrorists are just like right wing domestic terrorists needs him to be a representative of that evil so he will be labeled such. Itxs part of the incredible illogic that can find simultaneously that Islam bears zero responsibily of terrorism done in it's name while Republicans bear total responsibility for every action against a sometime opponent done by anyone.

I don't live very far from Walterboro,SC. I remember the incident very well when he tried to repossess the truck. The woman was scared to death of him. Walterboro news is usually in our newspaper and on our local tv. I tried to search and find a newspaper article online but I guess it is archived or just gone.

You know, on further thought, I think I am quite willing to strike a bargain with the liberals that the Republicans and other kinds right wingers bear responsibility for whatever if then it is accepted that Islam has the same responsibility. I can see the Republican party disavowing violence and actually making laws and researching ways of changing their rhetoric to minimize such things. Somehow I can't see either liberals giving up their vitriol or Muslims agreeing they should make and enforce effective changes in the practice of their religion to discourage such attacks.

He is listed as an "unaffiliated voter" and also a female. What never got mentioned in the mainstream reports I've seen is that the shooting began at Chase bank...not planned parenthood.
The way I see it, we could be told absolutely anything and never know if it's a lie or not. I keep that in mind always. Do we know who the guy is in the arrest and mugshot pictures? Seriously...it's always in my mind that not only can they lie on the little details but they can and have fabricated entire BIG events. Sometimes I wish I had the ability to really make people stop taking for granted everything they think they know. The frustration gets the better of me sometimes, but truthfully I'm not angry at people for not getting it...the deception has messed with all of our perceptions, but golly am I sad that it's so hard to make a difference no matter what you say to people...

Hi guys. I might read through and join in later. My brain is a little spun right now.
I made 4 (?) Posts on HT thread about this. That thread is so off the wall, they seem to even be turning on each other at a few points.
Most of my thoughts may not even be getting read, cause I seem to not even be in the crossgairs of some who frequently lash at me.
I need to do some other stuff for awhile. Thanks for being here guys. I feel dumb for even trying to talk over there about it.
Also, free request or invite:
I only know how to copy and paste some links with my phone, but not text. So, if anyone would like to copy my posts and put those words in here, feel free.
I may try and snag a laptop from someone at home later and do it myself to put my words here.
They were my thoughts. But, I don't think they were of value to anyone on that thread except one that scooter liked.
I'll see y'all later. Be well.

Never mind. I quoted wr and said she was hilarious and deserved a post of the millennium award for challenging Laura and claiming what a high standard they were enforcing over on HT for posts to not be personal, etc etc
Guess what, wr deleted the entire thread within five minutes. Good grief.

That's because her/his bias was glaring like the sun. Such a joke, and not a funny one.
They can have each other........

Yeah. I said my peace in the other thread. I don't need to have the last word with painterswife. I think some people think the last word makes them the winner, lol. Sometimes it does. Other times it makes them the last fool who didn't move on.

Anyway, does anyone know if they are looking for any others that helped the shooter?
I read he moved to Colorado with a woman. Didn't hear if she was part of this, or if she was confirmed to be okay, or if there was anyone else involved?
I think it sounds like he was alone in this. But, I hope they get the others if there are others.
Also, anyone hear if the packages recovered inside and outside were explosives?
Also, I heard a cop died. But, I haven't read who the other dead and injured victims were. Anyone have details?

God forbid, someone reports that he is transgender. The Libs at HT would wet their pants. Makes me want to laugh hard enough to swallow my chewing gum.

What good does it do to delete a thread when minutes later, there is a new one started by the worst offender over there? I did not see the thread, have been out shopping this afternoon, but I know the routine. That thread that is under review is never seen again. Haha! What a high standard.

Don't you know this little news story is lighting some folks up with pure giddy delight inside at the idea that they have at least a months worth of material to go on their white Christian conservative terrorist rampage. As petty as the nonsense on HT is, make no mistake, the social media all over the web is crawling with people paid to type the words "Christian extremist" right now. ************************************************************************************** CaaaaJiiiiiiinnnngggg!!!! Not really....just funning with ya! (Is funning an actual word?) Yeah it is... just looked it up to be sure.
