I went thru a few dozen reviews on it and they all said the same thing that I was going to add, with a little info about sharpening in general. Joe might be able to explain it better, but resharpening cutting tools is all about the set up - the correct angles, steady hands and secure workpiece, and a little magnification for older eyes so you can see when you've removed the minimum amount to material to make it "new" again. From the reviews, I seriously doubt the manual is that detailed. But if you already know a lot about relieving every tooth the same amount of material and making sure there is enough relief behind it, etc. you should get the knack of it pretty quick. I would guess you could get at least 2 or 3 resharpes out of a blade.

I guess sometime in the next few days I will conduct some sharpening classes. I had hoped to do it with videos, but I never got that together.
Forst thing to think about is the simple fact that a blade will never be rounder than when it is completely DULL!
A medium quality bench grinder, a medium quality aluminum oxide abrasive wheel and a low quality diamond dresser will get you as far as you need to go in the sharpening business. Carbide requires a cheap diamond wheel in addition, but nothing else for power saws.
Hand saws need a hand saw vise and some files and a setter......Joe

Picked up the new saw today. Used the 15% off coupon they sent me. Got it all unpacked and put together, not much to do in that department. Very well packed. Seems to cut great, even with the cheap blade they furnish. Will end up installing a better quality blade one of these days. Not really heavy, just somewhat awkward to carry around. Will be giving it a workout this weekend when installing the slide out shelves for daughter-in-law. Have 18 of them built and ready to put in her lower kitchen cabinets.

So far am quite happy with the saw. Have the fence dialed in to .004” from the front of blade to the back. The quality of the blade that came with it will do what I want for now. Have a new better blade on hand if that becomes a problem. Time will tell.
