Saw that early this morning…unbelievable. Since snakes don’t normally just fall out of the sky, I assume the hawk dropped the snake in the first place and was simply trying to retrieve it’s dinner. I was impressed with the lady’s attitude…some said she was so unlucky for all that to happen to her, and she stated she was very lucky for all that to have happened yet she was not bit by the snake, etc.

Venom on the lens of her glasses!! That's one of those 'stranger than fiction' stories. I mean, what are the odds?

That gal needs to run out fast and start buying lottery tickets, and give half to her church.

Looks like I'm a minority voter, again. lol. My first thought was, "Lucky?"....um no, and I won't be buying any lottery tickets on the way home either.

I look at it like falling off a 200 ft rock cliff and ending up with scratches and no broken bones. I’d be thanking Someone that I wasn’t dead or broken in a zillion pieces.

I think her guardian angel was working overtime that day.

That gal needs to run out fast and start buying lottery tickets, and give half to her church. Depends on the church. For example my church is UMC - they don't condone or believe in gambling, therefore they would refuse to accept any "winnings". But I bet if you waved the right amount of "Benjamins" under their noses they would "turn the other cheek", stick out their hand and snatch it up. LOL

I gotta wonder about that hawks mental/physical capabilities...He couldn't hold onto a snake but could rake the crud out of some poor lady just out mowing her lawn.

I suppose it would depend on the size of the snake and how good a grip the hawk had on it initially. Occasionally a bird will lose it’s grip and drop it’s prey.

Hmmm, this story reminds me of a Paul Harvey broadcast when he described a man at a rest stop out walking his wife's toy poodle when a hawk came down and snatched it up. He was quoted as saying "Go, go, go".
