In times such as these, somebody, Hamilton i think, wrote an essay entitled "If not now, WHEN?" which seems to have evaporated from the WWW. IF anybody runs across it or has a copy, please publish here....thanks.....Joe

We're at a standoff right now, with the appellate court blocking the SC ruling.
The only reason this subject is even in the courts is because the federal government is not doing their Constitutional duty to protect the nation. And in that respect, I believe it could be argued that Texas has the right to protect our state.
I will say, the Marxists have done quite a good job over the past 40 years of quietly changing laws and infiltrating every institution in the country.

On Thursday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott met with House Speaker Mike Johnson in Austin to discuss critical matters pertaining to the historic crisis at the US southern border and the disastrous impact President Biden's open-border policies have had on the state. Gov. Abbott urged Speaker Johnson to pass border security measures and lamented about Congress's inability to do so. The Republican governor also touted the successes of the state's comprehensive border security efforts through Operation Lone Star and asked Johnson to support the state's fight against the Biden administration's efforts to thwart Texas's efforts to secure the border. According to a press release issued by Gov. Abbott's Office, "Abbott told Speaker Johnson that the border crisis is both unacceptable and avoidable, urging the Speaker to pass border security legislation that will help stop illegal crossings between ports of entry along the southern border." "Additionally, Governor Abbott touted the success of Texas' comprehensive border security efforts through Operation Lone Star, including deploying thousands of Texas National Guard soldiers and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, installing razor wire, and building the Texas border wall. The Governor also implored Speaker Johnson to support the state's ongoing fight against President Biden's attacks on Texas' historic border mission and his refusal to secure the border," the press release states. Speaker Johnson (R-LA) issued a statement following the meeting and expressed his steadfast support for the state of Texas, while condemning the Biden administration for "endangering" Texans, as well as all Americans. more at link

If the border was closed entirely tomorrow, it would be about 3 years too late. The terrorist armies are already here, all closing the border now would do is stop their reinforcements from arriving.
In their zeal to increase their congressional districts, and hopefully give these crimaliens citizenship to vote, they're laid the groundwork for a complete collapse of the country they wish to rule.
Reminds me of the adage: He'd rather rule in hell than serve in heaven.

To be honest, closing the border now would be about 40 years too late. This has been quietly going on for decades, just not to the degree it is now. But apparently it pretty much stayed down here in the border states. But I remember arguing with someone on HT years ago that they, and the rest of the country, have no clue what's happening but are about to find out.
Think NAFTA. Most people who are being honest will admit that NAFTA was/is a complete failure. Not only did it not help Mexico's economy in any significant way but it opened the border (no pun intended) for the invasion that's been happening in the US ever since. Both countries got screwed because North American trade wasn't the final goal, globalization was/is.

@marionawfal 🚨🇺🇸 TEXAS GOV. ABBOTT WARNS WAR AT THE BORDER COMING “REALLY SOON”
The Governor of Texas is sounding the alarm about a potential “drone war” erupting between the US and Mexican cartels across the border.
Gov. Abbott:
“Let me foreshadow also another concern we're gonna have really soon, it's already kind of beginning right now, and that's gonna be drone wars.
The capability of the cartels about getting things across the border through drones already is extraordinary and they're gonna be more aggressive, more sophisticated in the drone attacks.

I'm still not understanding why we haven't put an end to the drug labs and concentrations of the cartels. We could couch it to the Mexican government that we're helping them with their crime problems. If they don't agree, well, tough and too bad. It's our citizens overdosing on that stuff at a terrible rate, taking out a few of their criminals would be a win-win for everyone except the drug cartels.
