7thswan, this is wonderful news. I can't help believing that Shady is doing so well because you went to visit him and let him know that even though he's in a strange environment, you are still part of his life. I'm convinced loving on him these last couple of days reduced his anxiety and helped him be strong. Can't wait to hear you got him home with you again.

I'm convinced loving on him these last couple of days reduced his anxiety and helped him be strong. Can't wait to hear you got him home with you again. I too think he could feel my energy and he also has a pretty big vocabulary, I talk to my dogs just like they are humans. But I cannot go without saying, I Pray and talk to God, lately ,learning to give it to God as they say. My brain goes nonstop and that just does not work for me, I had to come to a crossroad. On Tuesday after worrying and not finding an awnser all weekend then takeing him in. I had a calm feeling that everything was going to be OK,but ofcourse I attributied it to Hopeful thinking. As I lay in bed trying to stop my brain, I gust plain got to a point where I decided to stop and I was able to Give it to God- I fell asleep. It just felt diffrent and I was braceing myself yesterday. When I saw him this morning, it felt so good. I have taken pictures of him each day, and to look at them tells me over and over how this has been truly a blessing. Now If I can only fix my pictures in the computer-I'd show You!

7thswan , I have been praying since your OP, and I am so glad that your baby is doing well. Is he home now? Yes! The dr called friday morning and asked if I could come in and see if he would eat for me. She said he could come home if he would. He ate for me then he knew it was time to go in the kennel. He didn't know he was going home until he got in the car.He is doing well, has to eat a special kidney food and he only will eat off a spoon. He isn't eating normal yet. He has 2 diff. antibotics, the removal of his testicals does not seem painful at all.Everyone at the vets just loved him, said he should be a therapy dog,the nicest rottweiler they ever met.He sure did take care of my Mom.He's a cuddlebug. Thanks for the Prayers.

7thswan , Hooray! So happy to hear this good news. It's amazing how fast he is getting better. Today he ate fresh aspargus, egg foo young and whipped cream, plus the special dog food. He also knows how happy I am, his little wiggle butt goes a mile a min. when I talk to him. Ain't Love the Greatest!

7thswan , How's your boy doing? He was on my mind over the weekend. Wow, You must have felt his energy. He was not very good. Last night he wagged his tail, so he does seem better. He has not wanted to eat, so got him some turkey and chicken lunch meat. He liked that and had 2 cups of blueberry yogert (his fave). Maybe the antibotics upset his stomach. Thank You for asking.

7thswan, please be cautious with giving him lunchmeat. The high sodium and nitrates are very hard on the kidneys.

7thswan , please be cautious with giving him lunchmeat. The high sodium and nitrates are very hard on the kidneys. I know, I hate it. I took some pork leftovers-no fat and poured the juice from home canned chicken breast over it ,he ate it! I use good bullion in cb instead of salt for canning. Strange boy, he also loves the spine thing from romaine lettuce. He does have funny taste ,also needs hand fed. Sure hope he gets better soon. BUT....... Today the new little girl came downstairs right after I fed them all . Spotted glitter on her bottom lip, opened her mouth and saw glitter on her molars. Ran upstairs and there at the top-shards of christmas bulbs. 5 tops. Small bulbs for the tiny tree for the old trailer, about 1 1/2 ". The upstairs is where I work and keep all the wool, fiber, yarn, spinning wheels ect. She could have eaten or rolled around in newly shorn angora rabbit fiber ect.--but oh no, she sought out those bulbs. My fault I guess for leaving the stairwell open, but who would have thunk? Now what, poop duty for me. again.

7thswan, oh boy, you sure have your hands full. I'll just add your little girl into the prayer mix and keep hoping Shady gets well.

Just reading through...God Bless you and your furry friends. I know I shouldn't do it, but I think more of some dogs, than I do of some people... Our Shady passed on May 31 as we slept together on the floor. It was peaceful, he did not make a move. He wanted to pass at home, and it was his time. We did everything we could, so that makes it bit easier, more for me, because I stayed with him and was able to grive. Hubby is having a hard time. He is so missed. Dogs are also my kind of people, jolly, thanks for the thoughts and Blessings from all here..
