Something is all wrong about this corona , no doubt it is contagious. What would have happened if we had never known about it? Survival of the fittest? Viral illnesses are hard to work with but...... There is a reason President Trump did not want to put out the edicts.
I do not know but it feels all wrong to me.

What's wrong is the way it started out, and the Chinese reaction to it. Their lies and deception brought out the paranoia in everyone. Then their quarantining of millions of people just spread it.
They may have done the right thing, but their obvious understating of cases and deaths led to other countries waiting to take action.
I've little doubt it will spread exponentially, and be a mortal danger to those vulnerable for a variety of reasons. It's a matter of what we as individuals do to both stay safe and not help spread it.

t's a classic quandary that somebody will make a behavioral study of eventually and after that a computer game.
If I am a strapping 28 year old woodcutter in the prime of my life I have no reason to stay home except that catching and spreading it might harm my Grandma, but she and all of that generation are already gone. My parents are nearly in the same category as me, so nobody near and dear to me is in mortal danger from me misbehaving, including myself. Any women I meet about town are almost certain to be in my category, also, so I am whistling "take me out to the ball game" under my breath and polishing my cowboy boots to a blinding shine.
That is one theory. Another is that the population has become so blind to self interest that it will simply do as it is told because of social pressure......which is a bit scary in and of itself. Success in a society for that society's individual members requires a certain cleaving to their self interest and acting in that self interest. Does not mean they7 should go around harming others just to see harm take place, but when government can tell a huge body of citizens to act against their own self interests and see them blindly comply, THAT is also worrisome. Maybe nor worrisome in this individual case, but worrisome when government observes that new pliability in it's citizens. Raises all sorts of possibilities as yet unheard of....
Heading to Cruces for a twofer, and hoping y'all have all of the possibilities worked out when I get back.....Joe
