A friend told me that you can cook hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot.
I never tried it, because it still takes about the same amount of time to cook them.
But Oh. My. Goodness.
I have never EVER in the past 50 years of cooking eggs EVER had them come out so perfect, nor so incredibly easy to peel!
From now on, if I have electricity and an Instant Pot (or my inexpensive knock-off), this is how I make eggs.

I'll have to try that, as I have inconsistent results with hard boiled eggs. Is there a button for it, or some specific settings to use?

Here's one vid on the technique: I think it's the steaming of the eggs that does the trick, regardless of how you go about it. I've also had good luck with a rice cooker, or a basket in a saucepan with a lid... bd

I have the knock-off, so I can't do the recommended 5-5-5 (5 minute warm up, 5 minute pressure, 5 minute release), but I set the pressure time for the preset 4 minutes, and let it naturally vent for 6 minutes.
Then, I put the eggs into ice water for 5 minutes.
It is incredible! I am bringing deviled eggs to a gathering tomorrow, and I was having a dickens of a time getting them to peel. Then, I remembered Ann telling me about the instant pot.
I am a believer!
