I could look online, but I'd trust much more someone who eats this weed. It grows really flat to the ground, and then starts to grow taller. Is there a point in its development at which it is not tasty? Do you use just the little round leaves or also the stems? Cooked or raw? I just pulled some out of the spinach row when I picked enough of same for a little salad. Thanks much!

we had it in salad for lunch today. Very tasty and very high in Vit. C. I stripped the leaves off, but at times have just cut up the whole plant, stem and all.

Oh my! I pull the stuff out of the garden. Never considered eating it. Not sure DH would go for it!

I added some to soup last night that I made with garlic cloves, scapes, green onion and spinach in ramen. Couldn't tell the purslane was in there. I think I will try with less strong-flavored things another time.
