Way back in the Dark Ages of my undergrad days (the early 90's), my environmental biology prof was talking about a mini- moderate Ice Age hitting the earth. When I told him that I was considering purchasing land in MO, he made the comment, "Well, if these projections are correct, you may find yourself with ocean front property." This map may have been what he had in mind.
Over the past couple of years, I've been reading reasonable explanations for the shift in climate events (no, none of them were related to man's carbon footprint).
But the things this fellow (and others like him) are saying definitely gives one pause.
If you're interested in looking into the possibility that the Fed Gov and One World Order folk are using this "pandemic" to lull us into a malleable false sense of security in the face of a shift in the earth's axis, this essay (with solid bibliography and attaches) is a good place to start.
"We are at a point in time where most adults have heard of 'Global Warming' and the matter of the 'Gulf stream slowing 30%.' Most even heard the news in August 2005 from NASA about a 10th planet being found, or the January 15, 2006 edition of Parade magazine Sunday newspaper insert. Perhaps 1/2 of 1% of the adults in the USA understand what these matters really mean."
An interesting rabbit hole, with as good a start on an explanation as any conspiracy theorist could develop.

I have a friend that swears there is some earthquake fault along the Mississippi river basin and he thinks it is going to give way, that with cause the ocean splitting the country like in your map. so odd that his prediction and your map are so close in saying the same thing.

And Alaska and Hawaii are just memories.
My land is not at beach level ...I am 130 145 feet higher and a quarter mile to t bluff. Yet.....
My land was in recent time underwater and beach.
I only have less than an inch of soil covering sand which is why composting for 17year...yea it will be 17years this Aug 7 That I have own it!!!!
The earth has always changed... Camels (well a form of them ) as well as elephant like beast and a large tiger once called this home as bones they left as tribute for us to find and marvel!
It is always in flux that's just natural nature's signature chaos.

Your friend is probably referring to the New Mardrid Fault Line, a now nearly dormant seismic zone including parts of 5 states. Last active in 1812, it temporarily reversed the flow of the Mississippi river, and changed it's course in the Missouri/Kentucky border area. The area was sparsely populated at the time, but if it were to match its previous magnitude there's no telling what the death toll would be today.

My Mom collected old journals of settlers who lived at the time and place in Illinois. Today it is thought of as an event, sort of like an hour long or so, but the settlers claimed the aftershocks lasted a long time, with big cracks opening and stands of trees disappearing underground. They claimed that a man leaving to hunt or work the fields in the morning stood a reasonable chance of never being seen again, nor his fate ever learned. We were taught as children that the fault could cut loose again at any time....of course, as children we were certain it was just one more fairy tale... ....Joe

The last time the New Madrid (pronounced MAD-rid) let loose, the tremors were so violent, they rang church bells in Boston.
Back then, there was relatively little infrastructure anywhere in the country, even in Boston, certainly not the infrastructure and population we have today.
The possibility for serious destruction and loss of life is great.

The man that predicted that the US would be split in the middle from top to bottom is now dead , as is the man that predicted the New Madrid major quake . Neither lived to see their predictions.

I look at it this way. The Mississippi river wouldn't have formed unless there was a low spot for the glacier melt to settle and run. That would seem to say there's already been split in our part of the North American continent.
Inevitable, but unpredictable natural occurrences like the New Madrid fault moving, and the Yellowstone Cauldron exploding are things that historically have to happen again. But then, the probablity of a yet unseen meteor hitting the earth is too.
My answer? Trust in the Lord, and have another Coors.

You mean the Madrid fault, right?

Tabitha that is the fault I was thinking of.
If this happens I will still be landlocked. but the ocean will be a little closer.

"One of out two ain't bad. No one should drink Rocky Mountain Goat Whizz, except in utter desperation." You folks have no idea WHAT goes into your water table....after all, I can drive across the continental divide in about 20 minutes from here and let fly almost anywhere.. .... and it ALWAYS runs down hill. Our elevation is 4200.....Joe
