If I were investing, I'd invest in companies that make liniments and back braces. A lot of people are going to hurt themselves trying to get those Peloton machines into their attics.

The thing is, when you need subscriptions to support your business, you don't want to be creating controversy. Netflix is creating a lot of controversy right now and there's a push for people to cancel their subscriptions. I cancelled our subscription a few months ago, they're definitely trending away from older wholesome shows to more progressive/woke themes, so that it was getting harder to find something to watch.

About 2 yrs ago youngest DD talked me into getting Netflix. She watched it about a month, then went back to watching her various DVD series. I only found maybe 2 movies that I halfway enjoyed. Seems I'd spend 30 min. looking (unsuccessfully) for something to watch, then go find a book. DD threw a fit when I cancelled it but no point in paying for a worthless service.
Same when DH had direct tv or whatever it was. I referred to it as "500 channels and nothing to watch". I did enjoy the military and history channels very much but since I never had control of the remotes... 👎🏻

I have tried most forms of gambling at one time or another, but I always tried it with poker chips for a month or 6 before passing in my credit card number....and that number remains safe today from all formal AND informal gambling houses. I tried playing blackjack on line once after listening to a friend talk about how he went to the casino every friday for lunch and won enough by 4 oclock every week to make payroll for his two employees. I found me an online casino that would front me 2 grand of imaginary money to play imaginary blackjack with, and maybe 10 days later I watched the last of it get gobbled up by the imaginary dealer.....and less than a minute later, there was a pop-up on the screen asking me if I was ready to start playing with real money!......I like to laughed myself sick! Next attempt was the commodities market. VERY EXCITING! My 2 grand in poker chips lasted nearly a month! If I had been willing to pay somebody for tension, worry, heartbreak and guilt, I had found exactly the right provider. Had to keep reminding myself it was not real, or I would have been apologizing to Janet on bended knee and begging forgiveness at least weekly. I looked at the money market, but I could tell up front that I was not going to study current events in every nation on the planet, no matter the potential reward. There is absolutely NO HOPE of me guessing what people from other cultures are going to do. I cannot even guess what people from my own culture will do an hour from now. I DID win a bunch of money gambling a couple of times when I was young. There were two separate occasions, and both times I was drunk beyond belief.....The first time we were matching Kennedy half dollars on a train returning from DC to central Illinois in May of 1964. NO skill or judgement involved. The way it works is you tell Henry "I'll match you" and you both flip the coins. IF they both come up either heads or tails you win. If they are different, Henry wins. Not even any way to cheat! Each of us had converted all of our available money into the Kennedy half dollars before leaving DC, not having seen them before and thinking they might not make it across the country in the normal manner of distribution. When I got off of the train in Effingham, I had nearly every half dollar that had boarded in DC, with the exception of those held by the girls who did not have boy friends. Those WITH boy friends had loaned their half dollars to them, in attempts to depose me as the king of matching. The handle broke off of my suitcase from the weight and my belt had been tightened to the last hole. to keep the silver in my pockets from dropping my pants on the sidewalk. The only other victory was a game of "in between" or also called "between the sheets" www.google.com/search?newwindow=1&sxsrf=ALeKk01iofkzk6JdPPCI3Gb5-KNudxjHFA%3A1606966244330&source=hp&ei=5FvIX_LNENC_0PEPwIug-AQ&q=card+game+between+the+sheets&oq=card+game+between&gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQARgAMgUIABDJAzICCAAyBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB4yBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB4yBggAEBYQHjoHCCMQ6gIQJzoECCMQJzoLCC4QsQMQxwEQowI6BQgAELEDOggIABCxAxCDAToICC4QxwEQowI6AgguOgUILhCxAzoICC4QsQMQkwI6CwguELEDEMcBEK8BOggIABCxAxDJAzoFCAAQkgNQqB5Y2lJgrXZoAXAAeACAAYUBiAGsDpIBBDUuMTKYAQCgAQGqAQdnd3Mtd2l6sAEK&sclient=psy-ab in the Metrapole hotel in Chicago that lasted all weekend early in 1965. A no brainer. I just sat there and semi-dozed, paid my ante of a dollar a hand and passed on the betting until I got dealt cards that almost could not lose, then bet whatever was in the pot. Might have lost two bets all weekend, and took home several weeks wages and a cheap guitar for my trouble. Never again! I have no moral scruples against it, but I never had less fun in my life! When you win, it is like shooting fish in a barrel, and when you lose, you want to walk down the street spitting on old ladies and stray dogs.....Joe
