Multiple books by one author, that you buy, keep and re-read. Could be a series of maybe several stand-alone books.
What authors do you have on your shelf?
At my house it's Louis L'amour, Jude Devereaux, Debbie Macomber, Nora Roberts and W.E.B. Griffin.😊

Tom Clancy, Dale Brown, James Michener, Ken Follett, Herman Wouk, Sharon Kay Penman, Brock and Bodie Thoene, Dee Henderson. I tend to keep only a few of my favorites, then have to buy the series back again if I want to reread them. The last 3 authors I keep most of their books. Don't usually read much fiction though, and many of the non-fiction writers only publish 1-2 books. I do collect Stephen Ambrose books though.

J.R.R.Tolkien, though I couldn't get through The Silmarillion. James Herriott. I just saw that Masterpiece has a new series coming in January. Some Georgette Heyer. Ellis Peters' Brother Cadfael mysteries. All of 'em. I somehow ended up with all "The Cat Who..." mysteries, decided after a few that I really didn't like them. I labeled the box as a complete set, donated. I have 2 shelves of books about medieval times. Some nonfiction, some fiction. A bunch of Civil and Revolutionary War histories. They were Mom's. I thought I'd read them, have not so far, but they look nice, and I don't need the shelf space.

Some years ago our library had a new DVD series called something like the Young James Herriot. Loving the All Creatures series, we took one home to watch that evening. It was awful, couldn't get very far into it before the turning it off. Don't think I could ever watch a remake or continuation of the original series.

Jean Auel's "Clan" books are not really my thing, but she gave me a set of her books and I'm keeping 'em! She's an extremely pleasant, down to earth lady and it was primarily due to her promoting our horses that they received international publicity.
