No, not with nuclear missiles on our major cities, and not with all out nuclear war, but with a much more quiet explosion that's reversed our position with our enemy.
It used to be with the Soviet Union MAD (mutually assured destruction) was the deterrent that kept our two countries from launching nukes at each other, even tactical nuclear warheads for regional destruction were regarded as leading to all out launches and regarded as unproductive.
But now, we've not only been brought to our knees economically, losing an estimated non-government spending 60% of GDP last year, but have been purposely led by the pandemic into a socialist "we'll take care of you" administration.
Did it make any difference to the communist Chinese that they might have killed millions of their people to make themselves look like victims of a naturally occurring virus? Look back not that many years to the Cultural Revolution where they murdered 25 million of their people to make their country politically pure. Don't think for a moment that Mao's attitude towards murder is any different from today's leader. After all, they've been fighting over population for decades, getting rid of excess hungry mouths is just a matter of practical endeavor, those lost are very easily replaced.
Nope, we've been nuked, but without a sound. They've succeeded in making us dependent on their manufacturing, while at the same time reducing Western societies to destroying themselves with spending they (we) can't afford.
What we should have done, and without remorse, was when the virus starting killing people in the United States was to determine where the majority of the leadership of the CCP was, and nuke them. Instead, we won't be their adversaries, we'll become their serfs making them richer by the day.
Consider this: Those huge internet companies selling Chinese goods have, due to the Chinese virus nearly put brick and mortar stores out of business. Does anyone think Amazon could be any less dependent on their Chinese masters?

You are completely correct. In the last 4yrs we saw American manufacturing starting to come to life again. Now it will be reburied, with a stake put through its heart by China’s lover, Biden.
There’s an quote somewhere about the world ends not with a bang but with a whimper. That’s what we have here. America has been defeated without a shot being fired and our politicians led the charge.

That's from The Hollow Men by TS Elliott. More accurately it'll be more like the line from one of the Star Wars movies: So this is how liberty dies, with a thunderous applause.

I don’t think those in manufacturing will fall for remaining here not that it will matter. This incoming bunch will either tax or fine them out of business. If you don’t have it you may not ever find it or be able to afford it soon.

Of course China doesn't care if we're being destroyed but IMO it's the traitorous SOBs (in both parties) in Washington that should be behind bars for selling us out.
