OK.... So often I write things that sound like "throw the cow over the fence some hay" in the way I fail at using grammar correctly... However, I have to suspect these people didn't think this through well before they posted it...
The article this is in telling about the USDA forgiving debt to black farmers.. As many as a minimum of 13,000 accounts could, will be affected.... The article stressing this program or "tool" being used for black farmers only.... Emphasizing several times in the article.... Black farmers only...
This is the quote..... "USDA is recommitting itself to gaining the trust and confidence of America’s farmers and ranchers using a new set of tools provided in the American Rescue Plan."
My question has to be, how "trusting" are the balance of farmers going to be over this ?? ??
Not that any of this is my business up here... But YOU could be skipped over by this benefit, and likely paying for this ??
Facts, details, thoughts, opinions ?? ??

I think it's a great idea. I'll apply tomorrow identifying as a black farmer who needs $2 million for his flock on 4 acres. I'd imagine the check will be in the return mail.
There are a few lawsuits already filed claiming racial discrimination, but I have a problem even with the lawsuits. What in the world is a bankrupt country giving unsolicited loans to anyone for? The people who supposedly qualify for, and the people suing to get in on the freebies are no more than rent seekers looking for "free" money at everyone else's expense. The whole program is a disgrace.

Never borrowed and money when I was farming, but wondering since am Irish, if I am a minority that would have qualified for special loans? Always felt if I didn’t make enough money to support the farm I had best quit. Will say since I raised most hay there was not a big amount of money needed to start the year out. My biggest cost that had to be paid up front was for irrigation water, that would run about $52,000 a year for 320 acres.

What in the world is a bankrupt country giving unsolicited loans to anyone for? + + + + True.... However at least the money supposedly will be going to citizens.... Not like some other countries where the premier seems to write checks willie - nillie to other countries..
DO NOT get me started...
