Guy was most likely drunk or high on drugs. I wouldn't rule out some sort of health emergency, but then I think he would have been more likely to approach a passerby.
Not a good look for my home state!

Well, people may be getting smarter! I have not spent any time knocking on stranger's doors in recent decades, but I have heard stories from those who have, and they gave me the willies! A high percentage seem to just throw the door open and shout over their shoulder "Frieda! turn on the coffee pot, 'cause we gots company!" Of course, the direct opposites are even worse, according to my daughter who carries the US mail and has to often knock on doors to get signatures. Some of her "clients" answer their doors like they think they are walking into an ambush by rival drug lords. I often reflect that folks who need to be around a lot of other people must have a screw loose, in SPITE of statements to the contrary by Ms. Striesand ; Enjoy!.....Joe

Wow, that's really bad all the way around. I had a very similar thing happen to me...except it was 2AM and the perp was banging on my daughter's bedroom window. I covered him with a firearm until police arrived. This was in................Lake Charles, LA! Anyone seeing a pattern?

I thought you were going to say you covered him with a sheet till the coroner got there ! Well sir, I can honestly say I am very glad it didn't come to that. Get a load of this: My daughter's name is Laura. The perp was calling "Laura" while he was banging on the window. But my daughter was 3 years old at the time...so obviously something didn't quite add up. Turns out this guy was drunk, and had just broken up with his girl, Laura...who lived nearby. Hard to believe how that all came together. I am just glad I was confident enough in my ability to stop him one way or the other, that I was ok with not capping him on the spot! What a horrible mess that could have made for a lot of people. I thank God for the outcome!

I had a client who heard somebody knocking on his (already pregnant out of wedlock) daughter's window one night and she was laying there asleep and not hearing anything.
Jim jerked the window open, jerked the kid through the opening, put him through some nearly permanent changes, lugged him through the house and tossed him out the front door.
When he went back to close the window, his daughter was sitting up in bed, saying something like "Wha? Wha?" and he told her it was a bad dream and to go back to sleep, which she did.
Strangely, he never heard a word about it from the cops or the lad or anybody else, including the lad's parents.....Joe
