That's a huge one alright. If memory serves, Troy on Swamp People caught one nearly that size in Louisiana a few years ago when they had a contest for biggest gator.
They keep changing people on that show, except Troy. His sons are good hunters too, but nobody beats Troy and his "Choot im".

Pretty big for a gator in FL.
I used to have an internet friend who lived/worked in Burundi near the lake (Tanganyika, IIRC) where Gustave the giant crocodile lived. He was over 20 ft long and weighed over a ton. Man eater too…rumored to have killed over 300 people but an expert figured it was more in the neighborhood of “only” 60 people.

That's a big'un for sure and looked healthy except for his teeth. At 80 years old it was about time for him to go anyway. It's kinda surprising to hear the side of the record holders though because they aren't the biggest ones out there. But I guess that's how you GET to big - by NOT getting caught. animalsake.com/largest-alligator-ever-recordedIt's hard not to notice a real big one when it glides by your 18 ft. bass boat and looks to be the same size....
