This should cause the rest of us to OPEN OUR EYES and become "WIDE AWAKE"!!!
The Homeland Security Department's inspector general is warning that two Secret Service officers were found asleep at their posts.
The new warning, made public Thursday, said fatigue from travel, overtime shifts and long working hours were partly to blame for the incidents in July and August. The officers found asleep, who were not identified, have been referred for disciplinary action. One had worked 60 hours of overtime prior to the incident. The other officer typically worked 12-hour days.

So it shouldn't be any surprise perhaps, that the likelihood of having another incident similar to what happened in Benghazi could occur, given the warnings that we already know now and this current administrations response to obvious deficiencies in protecting other government agencies and their employees??
The resulting irony in contemplating what 'could' happen if Hillary gets elected is something to relish.....
I'm simply SMH....

There's never an excuse for falling asleep on guard duty. If you're sitting down, get up/drink some coffee/exercise/etc, but falling asleep is a choice.
I remember in VN a perimeter guard was found asleep. There were about 140 men depending on his vigilance. He's probably recovered from his injuries by now.

Reminds me of some of "Chicago's Finest," well-known for working extra shifts while resting their eyes.
Gah. They're making excuses for these guys who got caught. If they can't handle the work, then either assign more men to the detail, or find someone who can stay awake.

Not a bit surprised. TH SS prolly has 10 times the scandals we hear about. No one's in charge, no one's minding the store.
