A TIMID LITTLE MAN was seated in the window seat of an airplane next to a scowling brute of a guy. The little man was terrified of flying, and as soon as the plane took off, he felt sick. But his seatmate was fast asleep, and he couldn't figure out how to get past him to the bathroom.
And then it was too late; he got sick all over the big guy.
As he frantically wiped off the mess, careful not to wake the giant, the brute's eyes flew open. The timid man smiled and said in a shaky voice, "There....there... Are we feeling better, now?"

I could tell some pretty interesting stories about travel by air. Not the least was the time the kid hit me in the head with the whiskey bottle, and then there was the Arab lady with the chocolate cake, and then there was....

Air travel has changed. I remember tiny packs if smokes dad got, playing cards. Now this is going to sound odd... but I swear I remember going on a plane. Walking up a spiral staircase and there was a bar with a piano. It had to be in the early 70s. Cause I remember going there and getting a soda and listening to the music..

Thanks people have been told me I imagined it. I really remember it clearly.. down to my dress and small rectangle red box I carried with my stuff. We, the kids, always took one business trip with our dad each summer. We stay at a nice place with a pool and he did work and he'd hire a maid to watch us till we were like eight. We ate at nice places, shop, hit a movie. It was the best time I spent with my dad... it must have been one of those trips.

I also remember the spiral staircase to the upper deck where the first class passengers gathered around the piano and cozied up to the bar when we made a trip back in 1996 on I believe it was Quantas. Of course, I just peeked up the staircase....didn't try to crash their party.
Spent the rest of the flight in my cheap general seat down below. Boy, was that an extremely long flight.
From L.A. to Auckland, NZ one way takes one heck of a long time....seems like it was 11 or 12 hours non-stop.

Never been on a full size plane just a twin engine Cessna.

Never been on a full size plane just a twin engine Cessna. It's no different than riding a bus after the first few times.

Its got to be better than that Cessna. We were riding back in a storm and hit a pocket and fell so hard I had to go to my chiropractor. Didn't know a plane could fall like that in a storm. Do the big ones do that too?

Yep, worse flight was over Yellowstone when it was on fire and hit heat drafts I guess.
I'm on puddle hopper now. 15 minutes to anchorage.

Do the big ones do that too? They do, though not quite as often. Friend of mine actually hit the ceiling once when he wasn't belted in. I've been on flights so rough you felt like someone beat you with a stick afterward.

I remember commercials for those flights, back in the 70's. Never flew until I was ~25. Went to FL to the human trap built by a mouse.
