I am somewhere between worried and concerned and scared spit limber for Colorado and her citizens. I have family living in a small town outside Denver and I have traveled the length and breadth of the state, and I can tell you that those idiot judges have no idea in the world how very vulnerable that state is.
in most states, protestors to tyranny will boycott businesses, try to shut down tourism, stage protests and perhaps shut down a road or bridge, but Colorado is a tinder box, and many of the highest revenue producing areas are in those conifer woodlands.
Back in the day, I recall watching black and white TV as Watts went up in smoke, and that was largely done by those who lived there, but Colorado has now made itself of interest to the whole nation....a majority...... and a dozen idiots who care nothing for private property or lives could reduce it to burnt stubble nearly over night.
historically, folks who have been pushed WAY to far are more likely to start burning than they are to begin shooting, as a sort of halfway measure just short of the ultimate.
I hope they are all praying that the USSC does it's job in a timely fashion....Joe

As far as how fast the SCOTUS acts I see it two ways. First, if they act on this as soon as they come back from their holiday time off, and vote in favor of Executive Privilege, that throws Smith's whole trial out the window. But, if they do as they've done in the past and avoided political questions, and let the appeals court give an opinion, that'll push the whole question well past the election. In that case, not only will Smith's agenda have failed, but then it becomes almost a moot point as Trump could pardon himself.

joebill, I sincerely hope that nobody starts any fires here in Colorado. We had an awfully wet spring and summer this year and the grasses grew higher and thicker than usual. Now that everything has dried out and we are having lots of wind, it would only take a spark...
