Okay, somebody needs to explain to me how someone who hasn't been convicted of a crime, can be declared a criminal without even a court appearance. I mean, those idiots in Colorado can sit 1500 miles away from the J6 disturbance, and without even a trial declare someone guilty of "insurrection".
I'd say the democrats have sunk to a new low, but I'd be premature.

To the appeals court first and if that doesn't get the desired results - SCOTUS.
This crap is getting real old real quick.

It'll never fly.....or rather, it SHOULDN'T. I've read the 14th - a lot. So when I heard this I went back to make sure there wasn't something I missed in there, but there isn't. As Ozarks Tom said, #1 no one has been tried and convicted of ANYTHING, but that in itself isn't required to be "disallowed" from office. HOWEVER, nothing in section 3 says ANYTHING about being elected. Even though states have the power to set their own election rules, they DON'T have the power to say who can or can't take office or serve . They already HAVE those candidate requirements and I'm sure Trump meets those requirements. CONGRESS does have that power, not the states, according to the last sentence in section 3, by implication anyway, so I'd hope the SCOTUS would have the ability to read and understand English. If Congress can "remove such disability" AND it isn't under the power of the Judicial branch (by conviction of said crime) then it stands to reason that only Congress also holds the power to Disqualify from Holding Office.

The 4-3 decision removes Trump from the Republican primary ballot in Colorado, which is scheduled for Super Tuesday in early March. However, the Colorado justices paused their ruling so Trump can appeal to the US Supreme Court, which could even preserve his spot on the state’s primary ballot if the appeal isn’t settled quickly.linkSo they made a ruling, they paused their own ruling immediately and, depending on the speed at which the appeal goes, it might not change the primary ballot.

It's almost like they WANT Trump elected.
Every red blooded American LOVES an underdog.
"Us common folks" know what it's like to be railroaded, falsely accused, downtrodden, smashed under the thumb of "the man"....... OH how we "common folks" can relate to Trumps injustices, struggles.
Black and Brown Folks can relate. Women, can relate. White Christian Males can relate. Blue Collar folks can relate.
That's about 3/4 of all, Americans.
This will go to the SCOTUS, and guess who seated 1/3 of that court............

Democrats aren't even trying to hide their corruption. They are depending on their brain dead Obamatards to vote from hate, not intelligence.

Even the other candidates are defending Trump. The absolute gall & hypocrisy of Democrats to squawk about democracy and then pull a stunt like this. This is the sort of crap that could start another civil war. But I'm confident that this will be shut down before long.....if not by the courts then by the people.
Desperate actions like this tells me that they're losing power and they know it.

Their main candidate is an idiot pedophile who is on the take from foreign countries and is complicit in his son's criminal career. None of their politicians poll favorably so they are doing everything they can to interfere in the election.

I don't think so, Ozarks Tom . That was a 4-3 decision. And the warnings are coming from across the political spectrum. Bobby Kennedy said it right; if this is upheld, the country will become ungovernable. Turley said it's 'exceptionally dangerous and destabilizing'. As you (and Kennedy) pointed out, Trump hasn't even been convicted. The reason there hasn't been violence up to this point is because people still have faith that the system works. The cheating can be fixed corrected and the system will still work. But when they no longer believe that they have a voice......well, that's when all bets are off. I don't believe it'll come to that point - but we're dealing with irrational people so it remains to be seen how far they're willing to push.

dailycallernewsfoundation.org/2023/12/20/chief-justice-john-roberts-has-a-major-trump-problem-on-his-hands/Chief Justice John Roberts Has A Major Trump Problem On His Hands Katelynn Richardson on December 20, 2023 The Supreme Court is faced with three major issues surrounding former President Donald Trump that have implications for the 2024 election. The justices will have to consider questions about Trump’s immunity from prosecution and an obstruction statute behind two of the counts in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s indictment of him for alleged efforts to interfere in the 2020 election, as well as, potentially, Trump’s eligibility for office under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment. The Colorado Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that Trump is disqualified from the state’s ballot under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment. Three major issues with significant implications for former President Donald Trump and the 2024 presidential election have made their way to the Supreme Court, or will soon be there. Contentious questions about Trump’s immunity from prosecution, the scope of an obstruction statute connected to two charges in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s indictment of him for alleged efforts to interfere in the 2020 election, and likely soon, Trump’s eligibility for office under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment will be squarely before the Supreme Court. The justices are also operating on tight deadlines in multiple cases. District Judge Tanya Chutkan declined in early December to toss Trump’s 2020 election case based on the argument that he is immune from prosecution because the actions in Smith’s indictment were taken within the bounds of his office. She wrote that the presidency “does not confer a lifelong ‘get-out-of-jail-free’ pass.” But last week, in what legal experts characterized as a bid to speed the process along and maintain the scheduled March 4 trial date, Smith asked the Supreme Court to weigh in on the question without waiting for a decision from the lower court. The justices, who agreed to expedite consideration of Smith’s request, now must quickly decide whether to take the case or punt on the question and allow the D.C. Circuit to have the first crack at it. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals already scheduled oral arguments for January 9, 2024. Trump’s lawyers urged the justices Wednesday not to “rush to decide the issues with reckless abandon” by granting Smith’s request. more at link

Haaa! People are now insisting that Biden be removed from the ballot in TX and FL for allowing millions of migrants to illegally enter their states, which, it is argued, is the highest form of insurrection. And they're urging all Republican states to do the same.
Oh wouldn't that be fun to watch?
