I'm sure he has stuck his pen in company ink at some time. He got his 5 minutes of fame in the presidential spotlight and that's all he wanted. He probably made a ton in early campaign donations.

I like DeSantis, but he never had a chance this time around. I'm thinking he was just trying to get national awareness for '28.

Desantis seems to be a very good governor but I don't see him as a good president.

sunny225, I do. He's been a stand-up guy against the DEI and porn in schools, went after Disney's influence, and generally kept the Florida legislature on track as conservatives. His influence stops at the Florida line, so his policies obviously haven't gone any further, but look at what Florida has done under his watch. Increased numbers in standardized educational tests. No "gender affirming" injections or mutilations. Opened schools against Fauci's wishes. Several other common sense things the legislature did to pull Florida back from the 'Purple Haze".

First Ramaswamy now DeSantis, I bet they both are running for vice president or a cabinet position. They saw the handwriting on the wall, they had no chance, time to try for another postion that might be a jumping off point for the next election.
