John Stossel has an interesting take on Argentina's President Milei, and I can't say I disagree with a word of what either say.
The reason I can't identify as a libertarian is the libertarians in this country carry the idea too far. Listening to them, you'd think they were for all out anarchy, eliminating rule of law to the point of every man/woman for themselves. I'd certainly agree that we could do well without probably 95% of the laws and regulations currently hanging over us, but when it comes to public order we can't trust the goodness of our fellow man to keep us safe.

I identify (not officially) as a Libertarian. But agree there is such a thing as too much "freedom". I agree with them maybe 50-60% of the time.... versus the 10-15% for R or D. So I disagree with a lot (at least last time I looked at their "Platform"). But as I understand it, if they can get 10% of the vote they can then get a seat at "the table" and their ideas will officially get heard. I think we really need more idea tossed around. The R and D keep saying the same things over and over and don't look for any other options (better or worse)

Don’t think the party makes much difference, it all seems to be the Uniparty now.

There is no such thing as 'too much freedom'. You are either free or you're not. Americans are not free. Now, we may say we are better off than... pick the country. Just cause we live in the cleanest septic tank doesn't mean we are living clean. Or free. And, again: There Is No Voting Our Way Out Of This

There is no such thing as 'too much freedom'. You are either free or you're not. I was in reference to the "pay no taxes", smoke/snort anything you want, no authority over "me" attitude most people think of when they think of the Libertarian Party. Honestly, I think we need government....humans are NOT naturally "good". We need some laws, if we have laws we need a way to enforce them...that takes $, so taxes. I honesty am happy to fork over some money for someone else to maintaining and fix my roads. As bad as many roads are...they would be much worse if we had to do it ourselves. So yes...there is something call "Too Much Freedom". If we all could do anything anytime and pay only if we wanted to.....boy, we'd be in a bigger mess then we are now.
That said, we could easily drop 75% or more of our laws. In the Old Testament Isreal was told to give 10%....if that was good enough for them, it should be plenty for the government. 7% to Fed, 2.5% to State, .5% to local. And ALL forms of government have to live within their means! It's a pipe dream....will never happen.
