The government thinks that ARs can shoot 600 rounds a second. And one of the Democrat idiotic trained barking seals on the court thinks that’s totally wrong. It’s 800 rounds a second, according to that diversity hire who can’t define a woman.



Well, no wonder people are so afraid of the AR platform! That wimpy gun the GAU-8 Avenger can only spit out a paltry 65 rounds a second!

It's so embarrassing that the people who want to pass laws, or affirm them, have so little knowledge of what they're judging. I remember Dianne Feinstein, the Senator who got the "assault weapon" ban passed years ago who was asked what defined an "assault weapon", and her answer was "that thing that goes down". She was talking about the pistol grip she'd seen in a picture that has absolutely no effect on anything.

The even worse part of Jackson's argument? She was misquoting the government lawyer who obviously hadn't even read more than a Bloomberg article and went before the Supreme Court with all the knowledge of AR-15's as the average chipmunk.

That's a pretty short article, and slanted a bit. I've read up on this new proposed regulation/law and basically it involves the definition of the seller, in very vague terms. It could, and probably would, be interpreted by the ATF to mean if you were to sell a gun to your brother, you'd have to pay an FEL holder to run a background check on him.

There are already laws on the books for straw buyers, dealing stolen guns, felons in possession, and other illegal transactions. What this would do is make it a real pain just to offer a shotgun for sale on Armslist through a private party sale.

On the other hand, a shotgun will deliver about 150 #2 pellets with a single squeeze at about 50 yards and at a velocity no sane man would trifle with and not raise the muzzle so high that you may be shooting at an assailant but dropping ducks from the sky......Joe
