Ah, but ask that same judge if someone should have to pay hundreds of dollars for a second background check, another thousand for training and yet another check, and that judge would be all for it.
It's not about the crimaliens being able to carry guns, it's about regular citizens being able to have them.

This case was in Chicongo, they require a pistol permit, and how did an illegal get one if he had one at all? And if he didn't have one didn't he break the law?

This is one of those cases where hopefully people begin to realize that when the Constitution was written, there was no such thing as a U.S. citizen. That did not occur until the 14th amendment. Even after that it wasn't until the 20th century that anyone was "documented" at all. It wasn't until Carter or Reagan that we had a POTUS with a birth certificate.

I haven't bought a gun in a few years, but doesn't it ask on the "Form" if you are a US citizen? If you are not you can't buy. So if illegal's can have guns now, that means they have to obtain them by illegal means. So has this judge now "legalize" "illeagal " means of obtaining guns???

Someone needs to mine the area on the Mexico side of the border. Then issue orders for anyone with a gun on this side of that border to shoot invaders and shoot to kill. This crap would stop pronto if anyone had the balls to do that.

Immigrants have served in our military, yes. But they weren't illegal immigrants. That would be kinda stupid, would it not? Number 1, you couldn't be certain they are who they claim to be and 2, you'd have to question their loyalties. I mean we all know that the majority of illegals coming across are coming for the free stuff.....or the actual destruction of America. It would be interesting to know how many illegals actually file for citizenship.

I mean we all know that the majority of illegals coming across are coming for the free stuff.....or the actual destruction of America. It would be interesting to know how many illegals actually file for citizenship. That's true, and that's the distinction in this latest case, but as I said the previous rulings of SCOTUS vary widely according to specific circumstances. Also, unless I'm mistaken there was a policy as recently as the Obama administration, where the military did accept "illegal aliens" into military service and afterwards they could indeed qualify to become naturalized American citizens. Remember the DACA discussions, one of the many times Congress shirked its responsibility to actually fix one of our more serious problems in this country? Even when something is technically "illegal" according to the wording of a law, the courts will find it is NOT in a particular case - usually when the intent of the accused is examined. A good example that includes both things mentioned above is, a baby brought over the border by his parents who was never told, never knew and didn't find out until he was 18 and enlisted in the Army. Maybe his parents bought him a fake birth certificate when they got here which got him a SS card, DL, etc. Then by dumb luck, the Army catches something when they look at his paperwork and he's the LAST one to know, lol. Funny, but not so funny if he ends up in court facing a felony and deportation when the whole time he thought he WAS being a good citizen. Should that kid be treated exactly like a murderous, drug smuggling, rapist by the same judge, same court, under the same law? After all, they are both illegal aliens, right? No, not every single case is as innocent as that one but there have been plenty of them over the years. And that's the reason we have 3 different branches of gov't, to hopefully catch the dumb mistakes the other guys missed. The history goes back much farther, but I found this interesting article from 1978. www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1978/07/31/illegal-aliens-join-armed-forces-to-gain-us-citizenship/6c4b6fd1-d455-4bfb-8c4f-b777cb07301f/
