Just went to the CBS News website and there's nothing there about it.
No big deal I guess?

Hurricanes are like real estate, location, location, location. When it got to shore, nothing was there and it immediately went to category 1. If it had come ashore a bit north, at Puerto Vallarta, it would have been a whole different story.
I was hoping we'd get some rain from it, but it looks to be all moving east.

I think you would have gotten some rain, Tom, but that cool front pushed it more to the east. Darn thing has been sitting on us for the past 24 hours. Thankfully, while the rain has been non-stop since yesterday evening (it just stopped raining here about an hour ago), it's been relatively mild. Yes, bayous are full and there is some flooding but it could have been much worse. Last I heard, there were no casualties and that's a good thing.

Yeah, we could really use the rain. The Roubidoux may be full enough, but up here on top, the ground is getting dry.

I always watch Texas weather, usually it heads our direction. This time though it all passed east of here. We're in sort of a funny situation, in that the Ozarks aren't mountains, but a plateau that's eroded away leaving high hills and low valleys. Many times weather will be headed straight for us, but push off to either side of the plateau. The forecast early in the week called for 90% rain Friday, and 100% Saturday - we got 3/8" Friday night.
