Preibus said that Wednesday's CNBC debate "was conducted in bad faith. We understand that NBC does not exercise full editorial control over CNBC’s journalistic approach. However, the network is an arm of your organization, and we need to ensure there is not a repeat performance." He said that the debate topics were to include such issues as "job growth, taxes, technology, retirement and the health of our national economy. I doubt they think they did anything wrong. That's how liberals are. Ever see Obama, Clinton, Kerry, or any other liberal admit it? They have a totally skewed view of reality. I did see a couple democrats bashing CNBC on the news today.

So far I haven't learned anything of substance from any of the debates, if you can call them that. Fox and CNN spent their time baiting the candidates, while CNBC tried but failed to make them look foolish. A true debate would have several meaningful topics, and allow each candidate to state their position on each, giving the audience a chance to determine between them. The dog and pony shows we've been seeing are worthless when weighing them against each other.

That's true. I really have no idea between the views of them on any subject. Trump and Cruz are the only two who have made clear how they feel about some of the issues. I think it may be due to some of them not having any firm ideas and sort of making it up as they go along. Rubio is an example. I've heard him say several different things about immigration over the years What am I to believe?

Maybe it would help if there weren't 10 of them. A debate with more than 5 people, or better 3, is just overwhelming. I do think the mods were out of line. I appreciated the fact that once the candidates figured out that the mods were just trying to get them to attack each other and look like idiots, they all united against the mods and supported their colleagues. The main idea, one that I think a lot of Americans support, is that we need someone other than a Democrat to be elected. The candidates seem to be on the same page. I think we should start a movement. #AnyoneButSocialists But it doesn't have a good ring to it.

My proposal:
Take the 10 candidates names and put them in a hat. Draw 3,3 and 4 names. Debate two topics, 30 minutes per group, all on one night of the week. After the debates, put the names back in the hat and redraw, pick two more topics and debate again. Repeat for 6 weeks.
By that time, positions are staked out and some of the weaker candidates will have been weeded out.

I DID learn a lot from Carly...much of what I kinda knew but she had a good piece on the tax code, for one. And its always refreshing to hear her rants about VILELyingIncompetentUnethicalLargecottagecheeserear&gut.

At least when she makes a mistake you hear form her and a apology. something she said about 92% was wrong?

Like Brian Williams, NBC will be back. If in fact, despite the noise, they ever left. Too much to be made on it by the candidates for them not to go there no matter what.

I thinks after the CNBC fiasco the GOP has enough leverage to get a good deal more balanced format. Even many liberal pundits disparaged the last debate.
