I wasn't sure if I should post this in current events, or here in political, but it sure stinks of political insider dealing. The New York Obamacare Co-op seems to not only be out of business, but is in much worse financial shape then they reported. Their policy holders have 2 weeks to find coverage or go without. Now, you're probably asking yourself "how could this happen?" This might make it clear: Health Republic was controversial from the very start. One of the real difficulties with talking to liberals is that they see a problem, want to throw money at it in the naive belief that will fix it and dismiss any concerns about the rats that laying out such large pots of food attracts. They instantly take any words of caution as being anti-whatever cause is being discussed. Seems to me that any cause worth supporting is worth putting in some effort to ensure honesty. But then that might mean having to think it through carefully and that is not emtionally satisfying which in the end is the largest part of beinga liberal.
