One of our monsignors was arrested for having child porn on his computer. He had asked one of the church members to help him with stuff and the fellow saw the images in his recycle bin and reported him. Disgusting. I know more will come out. My brother was there last week and the parish was asked to "pray for Monsignor because he was in rehab"..........they lie like Hillary.

I will own up to shutting down a computer at our elementary school.
I was looking for "young chicks for sale on line"... Followed by a search "nice cocks"
Fortunately.... The librarian knew me and reset the computer...plus led me to murrymcmurry,
Though it does not seem to be so innocent in your case ...not every porn on a computer is there out of wanting that crud.

Unfortunately formal religion is a two edge sword. It can use it's authority to lead people into supporting each other by tempering self impulses but it also provides authority to be misused by those who love power.
A psychologist once told me that religious leaders were the most likely group to sexually abuse children. They have the cover of sanctity and authority. But what I have never understood is that they must not believe their own rhetoric to do such. How self involved they must be and that seems the opposite of religion to me.

That will go to show you that all of the important men no matter where they are are just men. I will never submit to men but only God. Every one of them are just as good as they act and I am just as good as any one of them.

No matter the denomination, right and wrong seems to come down to the opinion of the local "holy man".
That being the case, I think my informed opinion has as much value as their informed opinions. Often, I am harder on myself than they would be, but not always.
One asked me why I do not seem to ever engage in public prayer or worship, as though it was an obligation I was neglecting. I told him it was, generally speaking, for the same set of reasons I avoid group sex.
It didn't seem to clear up anything for him, but it sure made him stop asking silly questions
Organizations of any kind, for some reason, have never brought out the best in me. Very probably a personal failing on my part, but it seems to be hard-wired pretty securely, so I gave up trying to change it long ago...Joe

Not many but some have. All you know that men of all flavors are in any organization if you look over them and obey the principles of that organization you will find that you are much better than they are. Have I made mistakes yes but not many are their things that I would do differently No. I learned somethings from each mistakes and that made me a better person.

I don't demean organizations for not bringing out the best in me, not their fault. I just recongnise and accept the facts...Joe
