There are 3 people eligible to vote in my household, and only 1 of us received our request for an absentee ballot last week. I will contact my election board tomorrow, but I called my local post office and spoke with the sweetest, most helpful government employed that I have ever had the pleasure of talking to! She was very concerned, called me back after my mailman got there, and is having the lady that sorts mail keep an eye out on mail sent to our address. She is going to call me to make sure our mail doesn't get lost!!!!!! She also shared that 2 out of the 4 adults in her household haven't received their ballot request either. I wondered aloud if it could be a widespread problem, and she is going to call around to other nearby post offices and ask if the employees there get any similar calls. She said that if so, she is going to go to the media!

i know the idea for Absentee Ballot but it shod be used sparingly. If you know that you will be out of state or out of the country use it every time but those that want to use it for convenience I don't think that is the reason for them. You can vote early or on election day. Once you vote or somebody else votes on your place you can not get the vote back.

I always worry those absentee ballots stay absent, it would appear they would be easier to disappear.

A fair number of times, DH and I have voted via absentee ballot. We talked about it for this Prez election and decided against it. We are in a battleground state and our state still has paper trail ballots. We're going to vote in person.
