2 convicts just escaped police custody down the street from us, less than 1/2 mile away, headed this way. I was sitting on the front porch with my youngest and a neighbor that saw the guys in their yard shouted at us to get inside, and told us what happened. DH is still at work, and will be headed down that road.

I don't think so, it took DH 20 minutes to get home instead of the usual 5 minutes because police have shut down a huge number of intersections. I haven't heard anything from local news about it, but I can hear helicopters. I am concerned because there are a number of barns and outbuildings that would make good hiding places, also there are woods at the back of the property. I'm just glad that DH is home, I was a nervous wreck (inside) until he got here.

So sorry that I haven't been back here before, but my phone died and I just found a charger. I have not heard anything about it, so I'm wondering if no news is good news? We are all okay, DH and DS are both at work, so just the little guys and I are here. I don't feel scared though, I think if the guys were still on the run, I would have heard about it on the news.
