As y'all may have seen me say here, I only started this year reading fiction much. Since I finished the Jan Karon novels, I took the suggestion of a friend at church who said we have several of Robert Whitlow's novels in the church library. They're very good. He's compared to John Grisham in many ways. He is an attorney and writer here in North Carolina. Each story involves some mystery, court, suspense, corruption, and all that is typical of Grisham stories. But each one also has a bold Christian aspect, struggle between good and evil, characters who come to faith, remember their faith, and build their faith. I have finished 7 of them so far, and will continue more. Here is a link to a list you might want. There are stand alone novels, but some that are 2 part or a small series. For example, don't read Life Everlasting first, because Life Support is the first part. And a note.. the story "Jimmy" is a bit rough on the heart, even though good always triumphs ultimately. I suggest starting with his first: The List I highly recommend!! www.bookseriesinorder.com/robert-whitlow/

Thanks, I need a break from political stuff. Lord! Ain't that the truth! Leaving the tv muted or off has been a blessing.

Thanks, I need a break from political stuff. Lord! Ain't that the truth! Leaving the tv muted or off has been a blessing. Amen, and Amen again! News or not, TV makes me nervous lately. Aside from a few documentaries for the kids' schoolwork I've been turning it off lately. We have been doing crafts, reading together, and taking long walks instead. Everyone has benefited from these changes.
