I’m currently reading The Economic Collapse Chronicles by Matt Goodwin. 3 book set. I’m currently on book 2. Basically it’s time to pay the fiddler and the US is still wanting to dance. Little eye opening on how the money system can be played and is a solid reminder that our currency is just paper and most wealth is simply numbers on a spreadsheet. Both are worthless when there is no longer faith in the system. Throw in the makings of a true civil war and its a good read.

Sounds good, but I have to ask: Is it going to depress me, or motivate me?
Lately, the news of the debauchery and disregard for human life has pretty much sucked me dry. I am only coming on here, Homesteading Families, and reading my email.
But Goodwin is a good writer...
How is the book affecting you, @wvfarmgirl ?

It’s a good book. Sometimes I catch myself in a bit of a panic, thinking “I need more silver and solar and...” but I reason it out pretty quick.
Now if I was living in a city.... yeah, I’d be thinking a lot harder. Motivating me to stay on my path. The book centers around good ppl who are patriots.

Pony, you might be attracted OR repelled by some of Jonathon Kellerman's books about a psychologist and an L.A. detective solving murders. The author is a retired child psychologist and the majot character in the book still does custody work and some treatments between getting involved in his friend's case load. I have NO idea if the series would please or displease you, and a bit of it is gruesome, but a small sample should not be depressing.
They are called "Alex Delaware" novels.....Joe
