What is everyone fixing for Christmas? Any must share recipes? I'm always looking for new ideas.
I'm planning to make peanut butter and chocolate fudge, divinity, rock candy, crunchy buckeyes, iced sugar cookies, and turtles. I need to start on these by Friday though.

You don't like anatomically correct cookies?

Mexican wedding cookies aka Russian tea cakes, gingerbread, pineapple upside-down cake.
We're not cooking a big dinner but having finger foods instead; crostini, chips/dips, etc.

I’m making the traditional dinner here. Ham, potatoes, green bean casserole and deviled eggs. This weekend my friend and I are making cookies. Sugar, PB, no bake, kiss and some chocolate, PB drizzled pretzel things I found on Facebook.

Nothing special here. The last few years on Christmas mornings we've passed through the hallway, or heard from my office as my wife is headed for the bathroom. We'll say "Merry Christmas" to be answered with a grunt of sorts, depending on who's the most awake. Our big meal day is Thanksgiving when we have company.
It's not that we don't recognize the significance of the day, but there is ice to break and animals to feed. The last few years we've attended services at a very small Baptist church some close friends are big in, but we've quit going there since it was intimated that we weren't welcome due to our lack of intensity.
Remembering the reason for the day seems to be celebration enough.

DD and DW arrive Christmas Eve. I really should figure out what's for dinner.

Christmas meal is 10:30 brunch - this year it's scrambled eggs (discovered my bean pot keeps them hot and not rubbery so I can make them a little bit ahead) homemade breakfast sausage, cinnamon rolls, banana bread, fruit salad and a crock pot of beef stew and fresh bread.
This year people have requested - carmel corn, peanut brittle, butter pecan fudge and scotch shortbread cookies.

I'll make a seafood bisque as an appetizer on Christmas Eve. Christmas day it will be "roast beast", otherwise known as a standing rib roast cooked slowly in the rotisserie.

Now I've got to figure out how to get to mzgarden's house for brunch and then make haste so that I'm not late for dinner at thtwudbeme's.

Sorry, but you are already too late.
Reservations were closed before Thanksgiving.

On Christmas, we have a few family members and friends coming for lunch. I am fixing a deep fried turkey, baked ham, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, brussel sprouts sauteed in butter with bacon, deviled eggs, cheese ball with crackers, and rolls. Dessert will be various pies, and goodies.

I do it the easy way, Christmas lunch is at the church where we put on a community lunch for those that would miss out otherwise. Free meal and no cooking, just need to do dishes for a couple of hundred people.

aussiedarren, Can't imagine a better meal. Visiting a friend at a hospital today I was struck by a quotation from Winston Churchill they had mounted on the wall of the main entrance. "We make a living from what we get, but we make a life from what we give."
