Hubs saw this on zerohedge, so I went ahead to try to find other stories on it.
So far, I haven't found anything particularly reliable, but with the sense of betrayal heightened on the East Coast, I can't discount it, either.

Like everything the media reports, it's hyped to meet "their" agenda. What ever that may be..
Also, they are telling me that there are only 200 units of night vision "tubes" left in the country.
Really? How would they know that? What about those already in private hands? Oh wait they discount the earlier versions
as "not being wanted by others".
Yes I'm skeptical, but I'm still listening.

The night vision confiscation information came form Mike Adams of Natural News, although he may have good information from time to time, he can also be a bit paranoid. This is one of those things you file away and see if anything more comes of it. As far a jamming GPS it may be just an exercise and it may not, but at this time we don't know and won't be able to find out, so this gets filed away as well and see what comes of it if anything. Odds are these two events are not related.

One of the nice things about the internet is you don't have to drive all the way to a psyche ward to hear paranoid delusions. I've had Zero Hedge on my "sketchy" list for a few years now.
I don't know a thing about this Mike Adams, but does anyone know when he's gotten anything right?

Maybe this is related, maybe not. Two vids came out over the weekend from this guy's 'toobness channel. It sounded like something was amiss but when he started getting all abbity-spabbity talk talk talk I lost interest and tuned it out.
BUT I did go check on availability thru his link on night vision (was still available) but also $200 cheaper at OpticsPlanet.com. In either case, maybe a great thing to have but I don't have close to three grand laying around to pay for one.
Troubling intel I hope is not true.

Not near as bad as ZeroHedge.
