daw said: Meatloaf here tonight, too. Haven't decided what else I'll make to go with it. You know what - I "third" that! I had pulled a chicken breast from the deep freeze but hadn't totally decided what to make with it yet (Picatta? Sesame Chicken?). Now, since the sun is shining and they took the rain out of the forecast - meatloaf from the deep freeze it is! Easy peasy! Not sure of sides either... Maybe bake some spuds and skillet fry some of our canned green beans with some bacon/bacon grease (oops! )... ~Moi

The illiterate boobs around here don't realize that it's a toss up. Is it Romeo and Juliet or Rocky Horror Picture Show that is the greatest love story ever told? Some people {burp} don't appreciate the fine art when they see it.

Grilled some chicken drumsticks I found in the back of the freezer yesterday evening and made a big bowl of potato salad for today. This morning, I made the sloppy joe recipe I'd planned to cook days ago. So I'm having a piece of chicken (or two), DH wants a sloppy joe, both of us having potato salad. Classic tastes of summer (spring?).

Turned the freezer over a few days ago, so meals have been from the oldest meats. A couple of nights ago it was a Mexican casserole made with hamburger and stacked corn tortillas. Last night was round steak, rice&gravy, along with peas&carrots. Supper tonight will be baked chicken with tomatoes and pepper along with baked sweet potatoes.

I am planning to make a Seder meal tonight and tomorrow night, but not sure if we will be able to butcher a lamb before sundown... Depends on when Nick gets out of the plant.

Baked chicken tonight, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn & a spinach salad...a square meal.
I’m desperately trying to find & buy things when I do groceries that I’ll get at least two meals out of, for the two of us here. Not working all that great, but we’re not starving & I’m trying so hard not to have to shop, for awhile.

A 9x13 dish will make at least 3 meals for DH and I. By then, we're usually tired of it and ready to move on to something else.

I have just been informed beer bread shall accompany tonight's repast.

The central Oregon franchise of the Lockdown Cafe is serving a glass of wine. Yep, that's it. Too tired to cook. Heck, too tired to make a PB & J.
Lots of sore muscles and of course with no water I can't soak in a hot bath. So wine seems to be the next best thing. Probably not the best "dinner" to go along with my meds but a glass once in a rare while shouldn't kill me.
