I maintain about 1 1/2 miles of gravel road, plus my long gravel driveway. For several years I froze my butt off pulling a grading blade behind my old 8n. There just had to be a better way. Using 2" box steel, and a cheap Harbor Freight winch, I found a way. Now I sip my coffee in the warmth of the Bronco and watch the snow fly off the road. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedThe up/down switch is on the dash. For traveling on paved roads I safety chain the plow up. I hinged one side with a metal strap so the blade can follow the contours of the road, otherwise I was leaving skip places.

Good one Tom! You gave me an idea. I do my plowing on an ATV. I'm now thinking It'd be easy to mount that on the front of my 4x4 s-10.(Man I'm glad you decided to go for this board! I'm hav'n fun and learning a lot already" Wade

I thought about putting a 2" receiver on the front, but felt it wouldn't be strong enough if I caught something solid with an edge. I figured it would bend the 2" tube going into the receiver. That's why I put it on the back. If it catches on something it just skips.
