If you need to drill a pilot hole but all you have is a screw bit, not a drill bit, take a drywall screw, screw it partway in, then back it out and use the hole as your pilot hole.

I guess you keep him around because he's handy. Well, as Red Green said, "If women don't find you handsome, at least they'll find you handy".

When I was young and courting, I used to spritz some WD-40 behind each ear to make the young lasses think I was handy and could do stuff around the house.
It worked on the more modern ones, but the old fashioned girls reacted better to 3-in-one oil. NOBODY like Vitalis....Joe

The three little words that every girl loves to hear are actually, "I'll fix that!"

Men occasionally like to hear women say that, too...

Much better than the three little words every man hates for a woman to say, "You're under arrest".

No doubt, Tom! Numb brought me in some cabbages and Swiss chard from the garden, so I cooked them up too along with the pierogies and pies, and sliced up one of the last tomatoes from the garden. The pies are actually made with our own Pennsylvania crookneck squash, which Numb steamed and pureed for me earlier. We do eat like royalty here!
