Our home furnace decided to go on the fritz. I knew the flame sensor was acting up. Woke up at 4 A.M. to hear to furnace attempting to start, ALOT! The next night , I gave my buddy a call that works in the HVAC field. He guided me thru some tests on the phone. Well, we have a bad control board, and he tells me the furnace will have to be replaced most likely because Trane does not sell parts like this. NOT what I need to hear right now. I hit the internets running and found this company. arnoldservice.com/Shot a email to them with my model # and needs. I received a form email back in 2 minutes. With in 15 minutes I get a email with a screen shot of the parts break down screen for my model. I ordered the part, 15 minutes later get a email with a ups tracking # Talk about a great company to do business with, these are the ones.

Thanks for the info. Name of company noted for future use.
A couple years ago one of our freezers went kaput, the appliance guy said it would take two weeks to get the part. My wife found it on the internet and it was here in two days. Why an appliance repair guy couldn't do that is beyond me.

Lots of reasons or excuses one is if he was wrong about part needed someone is stuck with it in most cases. In the old days I finally got to getting cash in advance of ordering high dollar parts. Being stuck with parts when the people decide to just get a new unit while not telling the repair guy gets old fast.

Pretty disgusting when you need computer parts just to make a fire and scatter the heat around. NO REASON I can see why we needed to go that far......Joe

Another good place is Automatic Appliance Parts. They have many storefronts, but the one in Arlington Heights is the most helpful. The gals there know their stuff!

In the late 90's, my doc and his wife had me fixing all kinds of stuff that had no local repair facility, but one day she called and asked me if I ever worked on dishwashers....and I assured her I had worked on LOTS of them. She was very happy to hear that, and told me she wanted me to fix hers as soon as possible.
I then gave her the rest of the story, which was that although I had worked on lots of them, I had yet to fix one, including my own. I suggested she buy a new one, and she was happy to do so. There ARE limits!....Joe
