Would anyone like a few pawpaw seeds? I can stick some in an envelope and mail to you.
I bought the pawpaws at farm market. The vendor said a neighbor let him glean from her trees in the next village over. A range map shows a band along Lake Erie as the only NYS location, though conditions there are fairly similar to here, near Lake Ontario. Zone 6A. The fruits are just 2-3" long, mild and sweet. Pawpaws I had in SE PA bit the tongue a little. Same sensation as I get from walnuts and bananas sometimes. I'm going to plant some and see what happens. No guarantees they'll grow, produce fruit, or breed true.

They need to be kept moist. If they dry out, they die.

Ah…one of my favorite animated Disney shows, along with Robin Hood! Back in the good ol’ days before Disney became rotten to the core.
