He needed a little tiny loader tractor that could squeeze into tight spaces on our microfarm. We are both getting too old to shovel tons of dirty cow bedding!

Nice machine. Will save the back and a lot of time. What is it , a Toro Workhorse? If you decide to replace the seat, think you will find one at Northern Tool, usually as good a price as anywhere around.

yes a wheelhorse 520H... hydro transmission, foot controls and hand controls to go back and forth, pretty effortless. The loader is custom made twice as heavy as an ark loaders specs.
I like these wheel horses, they are cheap and easy to repair. The guy built the loader himself with easy to replace parts from northern tool et al.. should be a breeze to maintain and repair.
unlike our little skid steer... it has 2 hydro transmissions, a gear pump and 2 hydro drive motors. replacing one of those pieces is more than we paid for the whole skid steer if we could even find the parts.
So we are very kind to our skid loader...lol

Sometimes the rolls are bigger than the skidder.... but it moves them.

One of the other Wheelhorses... push weeds down with the front and grind em up with the whopper chopper in the rear.

Figured it had to be a 520, but loader covered it up enough to be sure. They were one of the best garden tractors ever built. Have a smaller one that I still mow with. Think I bought it in 1998. Does better job than newer ones. Had another one, used it only with a rototiller. Wife talked me into sell it about ten years ago, big mistake!
Have two garden tractors now, used exclusively for garden work. Everything from plowing, to planting, to cultivation, to harvest. Makes work a lot easier for this ole guy.
Enjoy the 520.

They come in pretty handy. It looks like a p.f. engineering build. I built one in 2005 for about $500-700, BUT I was getting most of the steel and doing the machine work at the company I worked for. www.loaderplans.com/

Im gonna need to make a manure fork for the bucket or one on a separate frame. The skid loader has a old one that I might be able to just weld mounts on.
I lightweight fork would be better... and smaller.

Sweet!
Love the name: Rock Chucker
We'll call him Chuck for short.
FUNNY STORY! I've been working all kinds of crazy hours the past couple months. I had told Numb if we needed to make any capital acquisitions, now would be a good time to put in a request, while I'm flush with cash (until the next stock market crash, lol). He said he'd like to find a small loader tractor to keep here at the house. I green-lighted the idea, and a couple weeks later, he said he had found one online and was ready to deal. I didn't even look at the pics; just told him to set things up and let me know when he needed the money.
The seller was about 50 miles away and agreed to include delivery of the Rock Chucker in the purchase price. On the day he came to drop it off, I was busy cleaning house, and didn't want to bother to change into town clothes to go out and meet him, so I let Numb handle things. Afterwards he left to get a load of hay and I had to go to work, so I figured I might as well check out the new tractor before I left. I knew he'd offloaded it next door in Mom's yard, so I went over ... and sitting on the front lawn was an old, beat-up, rusty Wheel Horse! I was aghast. He'd told me he was buying a restored one with a custom loader ... this one had only a dozer blade, and looked like it was ready to fall apart at any minute! I couldn't believe he had paid $3,000 for this piece of junk.
I was shocked because Numb is usually REALLY good at finding good deals. Hmmm, maybe the brain damage is progressing more rapidly than I'd thought? I didn't want to bite his head off, though, so I just texted, "I thought the new tractor had a loader?" When he figured out what I was talking about, he probably hurt himself laughing. He texted back that he'd put the new tractor in the shed, and the one in Mom's yard was an old hulk his brother had given him awhile back.
Whew!

I'll have you know that rusty hulk is a fully functional hydrostatic 20HP bulldozer.
Ok not fully functional... none of the gauges or meters work...or the headlights.
But it does run good and push stuff like lilly going to the feed tubs.

I find it hard to believe that a mere tractor could match the kinetic force of Lilly when there is feed to be had ...
