We keep our cooking simple, not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination.

I'll try just about anything. I even make up my own recipes (mostly thought of while I'm sleeping) I draw the line at peas and meatloaf. I can't stand either one. I've tried making them every way I can find, but still hate them. I think it's more about texture than taste.

gayle, Use Italian sausage meat instead of pork in meatloaf meat blend. Pat the meat mixture on apartment paper into a rectangle smaller must be less than the length on the pan you will be baking the meatloaf. Now with that sheet of meat top it as you like your pizza. Just dice up the fillings items Now jelly roll(parchment baking paper will be your friend-- make two or more and wrap them in the parchment paper then plastic and freeze for the future) it and bake ( seam down and the bottom only resting a a strip of parchment paper...aids in getting it out of the baking dish when done) bake to temp at 350 time varies to size ...use thermometer to temp. Let stand for a bit and slice . Spiral pizza meatloaf.

You'd starve at our house, meatloaf and peas are on the table at least every other week. Usually we'll make a 3 pound meatloaf and have it gone by the end of a week. Peas in a "birds nest" of mashed potatoes is one of my favorites.

Yep, I'd starve, but my sister would thrive! She loves meatloaf and always put her peas on top of her mashed potatoes, then usually covered them with gravy. Attachment Deleted
