It starts... The communist government of California was planning to use f15c to frighten protestors. The theory I read was just flying a plane over shouldn't produce much fear but flying low and kicking in the after burners would. This is likely just the beginning eventually they will get the courage to actually use them.

Interesting, Newsome denies giving the orders, but only the governor of a state can mobilize the National Guard. Hmmm, who do you believe?

I'm glad I don't live in California but when the F-16's used to get too close as they made their turn back to the base near Ocala FL it scared the poo out of the cows and goats in our pasture but all it did to me was tick me off, especially when they shook the pictures off the wall of our trailer or it was calving season. That was back when I regularly put on "good" firework shows for everybody on the 4th of July and New Years. Set up over a lake with a 4ft. PVC pipe, those out-of-state 'illegal' rockets were almost as good as the pro displays the city always had........and we had cold beer to boot! lol. Anyway when the 'Top Gun' wannabees got low enough I could almost tell their eye color in the cock pit, I'd go inside and drag out my leftovers, set up and wait. They had a repeated flight path in a triangle and after a few passovers you could get their timing down pat and hear them coming for the turn they made over us, which is when those after burners would point right at you and rattle the ground. I'd give'em a few shots, but not too close, the burst timed so they could see it about 5-10 seconds directly infront of them before they turned to go back. The jets were usually in pairs. Most got the message and got back up to the minimum 200ft. or higher. A few either didn't see well or tried ignoring me, but I had plenty of ammo and lots of practice with good aim. If they needed me to get a little closer that wasn't a problem. Just lemme know how close you want it. Never had any trouble from anyone, not even a friendly visit, but running scared never entered my mind.
