Sorry. Carry on.

Might be a neat little tractor, but where would you get parts and service?

Aw, man, I was hoping this was about the snake. Sorry. Carry on. That's what I thought too...we had sidewinders in Kansas....and once in the Fall one was seen entering the campus class hall.... A few days later I was found by the water pipe.. Was told that it could be seeking heat so I avoided the seats near the radiator.

Might be a neat little tractor, but where would you get parts and service? At a $1000, they're disposable. Gotta buy enough of them to overcome the shipping costs. If you brought something like that into the country, it would be as a dealer. But I think it's interesting - and amazing - how cheap they can build stuff, even if the quality is not up to western standards. Years ago, I toyed with the idea of opening a musical instrument business in my retirement years. I have no musical talent, but my family has plenty. The wife and both kids have made money as working musicians. And while I may have no musical ability, I know build quality, at least on guitars and pianos. Especially pianos. As an old lab rat, I look for anomalies...a tiny splintering on a soundboard inlay, etc. At the time, I could have bought pianos made in Dongbei by the container load. When you buy them that way, you can have whatever name you wish affixed to the soundboard and to the fallboard. I had a friend in the manufacturing end of the biz (who used to be on HT) that was working with Geneva in China. For a few nickels, he would have done a rough quality check for me, so I wouldn't get hung with a bunch of bad units. Buying by the container load, I could have bought 5-foot grands for $1500 and verticals for less than $1000, delivered. At the time, those pianos would have retailed for $5500 and $2900, respectively. And I guess that's why we have so much of Chinese whatever in the country. The quality can vary, from junk to acceptable, with most people buying "good enough". Even domestic products have Chinese parts...Go buy a five foot brushcutter that doesn't have a Chinese gearbox...Mighty hard to find.

Jolly, You can keep your prices low if your only labor cost is some rice and beans occasionally, and if production falls off harvest their organs (extra profit!) and bring in a new crew.

That's why I think it's going to be hard to dethrone China as the world's largest economy, at least until their standard of living demands comparable wages to other industrialized Asian countries such as Japan or Korea.

Might be a neat little tractor, but where would you get parts and service? Here lies the problem. When the Chinese ATV's and mopeds flooded the U.S. years ago, they were ok quality and you could get parts. The tractors that hit the market were based off a Yanmar. If you needed a part you could take a chance and order a yanmar part with good success . Being a repair shop, I can't take the chance that the Yanmar part "might" fit. Most shops around here will not even waste their time to look at the Chinese stuff anymore. If a said repair comes back in, your shop rate just went out the door. The equipment takes up space, and the customer is barking that you don't have the tractor fixed over night.

It appears to be a 4 wheel adaptation of the 2 wheel, single cylinder diesel tractors that are popular in Asia, India and other regions..
I don't know how useful or well received it would be in North America.. Even if it had a good support network, I would likely not buy..

Same stuff, I guess.

Why not? They're already regulating every puddle and stock pond on a farmer's place.
Our lazy congresscritters write laws giving heads of agencies carte blanche to write regulations that are in fact laws, including criminal and monetary penalties. It's not bad enough our courts are writing laws, now anonymous cubicle dwellers are writing them too.
