I've dried string beans before, and put them in soups along with other dried vegies. Dried vegies seems to have more flavor.

It reminded me of this woman I knew in Kansas City that was always of foul disposition and into S&M.... But like you said, I've noticed that about dried veggies as well. Seems a little dried onion flakes or carrots go a looooooong way.... bd
