Dropped by the largest feed & seed in the area the other day, mainly because I was close and their seed is cheap (purple hull pea seed @ $5/lb). I needed some Jackson Wonder bush beans and some Rattlesnakes.
Anywho, they had Dasher II seed for $1 a quarter ounce. That's just a few seeds, but enough for me.
If you aren't familiar with Dasher II, it's a hybrid burpless cucumber. Given a little TLC, it can be very prolific. If you haven't tried it and you see it (either plants or seed) try a few. I think you'll like it.
What variety of cukes do you like?

I've planted Straight 8s & Marketmore in the past, with disappointing results. But last year, I planted Straight 9 and had great results. Good production of sweet, juicy cukes. The only downside was that I had to be extra vigilant with the fungal spray.
ETA: Dasher II is a recommended variety for my area as well. I might give them a try in the future.
